A QUIET AND RELAXING, COUNTRY SETTING

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed this past weekend at Peggy's Paradise. We enjoyed our visit so much. The property is extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the open concept and all the necessities are in the kitchen. We enjoyed a BBQ on the back deck and cherished the "county" ambiance. Games and books are available if the weather does not cooperate or for an evening of fun. We went for a drive and enjoyed the gift and antique shops in neighboring towns, Wellington, Bloomfield and Picton. We also stopped in at a few wineries in the area. Thank You to Debbie and family for everything. Your property is beautiful and well maintained. We definitely will visit again so we may continue exploring this quaint area of Ontario!

PERFECT FOR A COUPLE STAYING IN OLD MONTREAL.

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and could not have been happier. Perfect accommodations for the two of us. Yes, there are no curtains in the living area, but the bedroom has a thick curtain and two solid wood sliding doors separates the bedroom from the living area. The windows face north and you can see all the way to Mont Royal. The apartment has a flat screen television, speedy wifi, and a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The bathroom is fairly small, but there were only two of us and we made do. The shower is great. As for the building itself, it is a corporate rentals kind of place, situated directly above the Embassy Suites hotel. We were literally 1.5 blocks from the square containing the Notre Dame Basilica. We LOVED LOVED LOVED the location. If you stay here, make sure to visit the Terrace Bar on top of the Hotel Place d'Armes. Order "the cucumber drink"; you won't be sorry. The Terrace Bar overlooks the square I mentioned earlier. Great spot 2 blocks from the apartment. You are about 5 blocks from the shopping on Ste Catherine and about 3 blocks from Chinatown. We felt very safe in this area and I strongly recommend it due to its close proximity to Old Montreal. As compared with other hotels and rental properties, the value for this apartment is fantastic. Overall, we were very happy with the clean accommodations and the helpful owner. I arrived my first day and could not get the television or the wifi to work. I called the owner on the house telephone and she told me exactly how to reset the satellite box. It worked great thereafter. As for the wifi, the service provider had plugged it into a faulty electrical outlet. She told me to plug it into the surge protector and, after that, it worked just fine. Wifi is a must in Montreal, especially when coming from the U.S. It allowed us to check our text messages, emails, and research restaurants, bars, etc. As the other reviewer mentioned, I think this property would be cramped for 4 people. It could be done, but I would not recommend it. That said, for a couple visiting Montreal for the first time, we could not have chosen a better property.

EXTRAORDINARY

5 of 5
Helene has thought of everything to meet your needs and maintains a spotless, clean, bright unit. I enjoy cooking and due to allergies, it is much easier to prepare meals. The barbecue grill and terrace was perfect for entertaining. We celebrated St. Jean Baptiste with family and friends. The unit was very accommodating for serving 10 people and is more lovely than the photos. As posted earlier this is a very quiet neighborhood, although it is very active. The terrace feels very secluded and has a lovely view of the sky scape and Helene's lovely landscape. It was very peaceful each morning listening to the birds and water fountain. We enjoyed dining on the terrace for almost all meals. I was grateful for the air conditioning which was needed for only a couple of days. Helene had brought up a fan, which was what I used the majority of time. If you wish to embrace the French culture, this neighborhood location is perfect and steps away from the Metro and bus stop, a very affordable shopping district, local restaurants, and groceries. I enjoyed walking to the Jean Talon Market for fresh produce and health foods, and fresh seafood. The fresh eggs and pork tenderloin are very affordable. I enjoyed it so much that I will take 30 minute metro to market before my vacation ends. I stayed for ten days and I I dream of returning one day. Also, I will purchase microfiber comfy sheets and pillowcases when I return home. I recommend this pleasurable location for pleasure or business. The internet and office setting was great, but unfortunately, working on the terrace is too far from the router. Merci Helene for your hospitality.
