Beautiful solitude

5 of 5
Having never been to the high desert of Southern California, we didn't have any preconceived notions of what we might find. After a 7 hour drive and quick stop at the grocery store for perishables, we rolled down the sandy, secluded road that lead to Rock Reach. If you are really wanting privacy in a not-too-remote location, this fits the bill. The house was clean, comfortable and we'll maintained. The home is perfectly nestled into it's environment and you truly feel enveloped by the natural surroundings. We prefer not hardly seeing another human being when we get away, so we loved the privacy. Other than a hike to 49 Palms one day, we were happy to enjoy the abundant desert beauty right around the home. Stunning rock formations, blooming cacti, wildlife...and the dipping pool and hot tub were excellent additional features. A wonderful bonus was the checkout process. In comparison to many places we have stayed, the expected cleanup was very minimal and reasonable and allowed us to leave still feeling relaxed rather than feeling like a cleaning crew. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely home!

Fabulous view, fabulous time, fabulous area

5 of 5
We stayed here for 3 nights for a bachelorette party and had the best time! The house is set up perfectly to entertain and hang out, cook and just lounge. The view, day or night, is absolutely spectacular. Daniel was incredibly easy to work with. The pool was cold and we asked for it to be heated and he was able to remotely get it done in moments. The pool and deck are giant and we had plenty of room for the 11 girls that came. The town is killer fun if you like to run off the beaten path and just adventure around. Las Palmas is a fabulous Mexican restaurant, and if you like sushi (and we are from SW Florida) the Travelodge has a sushi restaurant with amazing sushi -- and we are picky. We shot out to Joshua Tree National Park in 15 minutes and spent a day hiking, took Lion Transportation to Palm Springs for dinner Saturday night and had a great time. Overall, we are already planning to just make this our yearly girls trip. We will definitely be renting this house next year! Sleeping arrangements were perfect for us and no one had to share a bed except in the master.
