PERFECT SECLUDED GETAWAY

5 of 5
This property is in fantastic shape, extremely clean, and in wonderful proximity to Bass Lake. Our time spent at the house was relaxing and we recommend anyone looking for an incredibly well-kept property, that is away from it all and just 30-45mins from the entrance to Yosemite to stay here.

Comfortable Cabin!

5 of 5
Cabin was comfortable and cosy for four adults. Location was great - close to the southern entrance to Yosemite and close to Oakhurst for shopping and restaurants- 15 to 20 minutes away with two great supermarkets and some good informal restaurants. Nice to spend the day hiking in the park. Some amazing trails. And so nice to come back to the cabin to relax over a glass of wine and cook dinner. Cabin was as described- very clean and well maintained. Ken very kindly answered all my emails. Loved the washer and dryer after a day's hike! It was a great choice for spending a week in Yosemite!

Peaceful retreat to come home to!

5 of 5
We just returned from our week long stay at this beautiful cabin. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The first floor has a laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer, a bathroom, family room and kitchen. The second floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. What made it so great? Everything was as described here, no surprises. The home was well stocked with all we needed, including laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, paper towels, even charcoal, lighter fluid and matches. The home was well maintained and very clean. The views from the two balconies were just gorgeous. The owner, Mary Ann, was friendly and helpful, answering all our questions promptly. What I loved most was the tranquil and quiet atmosphere of the cabin. Even though we came after the summer crowds, it was still plenty busy at Yosemite, especially in Yosemite Valley. So it was wonderful to have a peaceful place to come home to each night. In fact, after our 9 mile hike down the Panorama Trail, we relaxed our aching muscles and spent a whole day at home, just enjoying the serene beauty around us as we gazed out over our balcony. Activities we would recommend include hiking the above mentioned Panorama Trail, hiking Lembert Dome up in Tuolumne Meadows, visiting Bodie State Historical Park, and of course, viewing the Sequoias in the Mariposa Grove. I would recommend staying out of Yosemite Valley on the weekend, as it was quite busy even on the week days. We also did an overnight trip to Bishop to see the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest--oldest living things on earth. We flew into Fresno and stopped at Costco on the way up to stock up on groceries, something I really recommend as well. The only caveat I can think of is that, as it says in the description, the driveway is quite steep. It was not a problem for us,as we had an SUV, but something to keep in mind if that would be an issue for you. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet, centrally located property to stay in while visiting Yosemite.
