Our stay couldn't have been more wonderful. We arrived late Friday night, and the twisting winding roads made us wonder what the view would be like in the morning. We awoke to wonderful views of the trees and countryside. There were coffee beans ready for us, so the morning started without too much trouble and quickly we were able to find directions to the nearest breakfast joint, all of a 10 minute drive into the town of Calistoga.
We had our baby with us and there is a large oak tree with a swing that we both sat in over the course of the weekend. We strolled around the property, amazed at the fog (fog doesn't happen in Colorado). The beds were comfortable the dining table was great for the breakfasts that we cooked (ample cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls were provided).
The cottage was clean, and sufficiently furnished with generous amenities. There were plenty of leaflets on local attractions in the cottage so finding our way around and to the wineries and towns was very easy.
The cottage has internet access with an unnecessarily long password. Unfortunately connection didn't happen for those of us using our handheld iDevices, but on the laptop it came through fine.
