A Gem in Venice Beach!

5 of 5
Our stay here was amazing! The property was just as described - a short walk to beach, canals, shopping and restaurants. The apartment was spacious with updated kitchen and bath, plus lots of storage. Will definitely come back!

Fantastic location, cute place

4 of 5
Importantly, there were no surprises. The place itself was exactly what we thought we were getting. It was clean and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable (a coffee makers, toasters, microwave, dishes, beach and shower towels, complimentary tea and coffee, etc). We got there on a Saturday afternoon, so being that the place is a two minute walk from the venice beach boardwalk and super trendy Abbot Kinney, we had a tough time finding parking. We eventually did, and moved our car in front of the place on a few days later once ample parking had become available. For anyone staying in the future, there is no parking included, but if we had to do it again, we would have pulled up in the back alley were the year-round residents park (even though there is strictly no parking there), and quickly unloaded our stuff and brought it up to the room rather than walking it from our parking location, about 15-20 minutes away.

Our 2nd Time Around at this Studio on Rose

5 of 5
We LOVE this rental. Location, location, location!!! We stayed here 3 years ago and without a 2nd thought this was where we wanted to stay on our return to Venice Beach. It's like we never left. It's big enough for 2 people. We rent because my wife loves to cook and it's all she needed to make breakfast, light bites and dinners; we would eat on the patio, relax and enjoy the vibe Venice Beach offers. A parking spot is a plus. Living right on Rose Ave is also a huge plus. It is a studio; the patio area gives space to move about and around without feeling closed in. The bed is comfortable; TV, Wi-Fi, AC, grill; patio area are all as pictured. As last time, figuring out the sliding doors can be a challenge especially when using the kitchen; they all slide to expose different areas; fridge, kitchen area and closet space are all behind those doors. The bikes are GREAT and we used them to ride to Santa Monica and to the Boardwalk to enjoy people watching and the music that fills the air on any given day. The couch folds to a bed; so you could fit 3 fairly comfortable. We would suggest a different handle on the shower, had to find the "sweet spot" for warm or it would be hot-hot or cold. There's a place you can do laundry for long stays. We took a day and drove the Pacific coast line to Laguna. We also went into LA on Sunday for the Original Farmer's Market. A Whole Foods is nearby; we took dinner "home" to watch the Kings OT game last Sat. :-) The boardwalk is just a few blocks away, so you have the best of everything with this location. There is a food truck most days parked across the street; great Mexican food! Baby Blues BBQ on Lincoln just south of Rose; the best BBQ we've ever had. Cerveteca a couple blocks away on Rose; they have a great Happy Hour and nice staff. Flake is a nice healthy spot for a quick breakfast or lunch; lots of eateries right on Rose to select from; we do NOT recommend The Firehouse. We liked that we could enjoy all Venice Beach has to offer and walk home in the evenings. There's always a lot of activity on Venice Beach; we know what to expect in the way of having bums nearby; however, we always felt safe. We have used VRBO/Home Away to rent around the world and would recommend this studio to anyone who asks our advice. We certainly have enjoyed sharing our pictures of “Our place on Rose”. We'll be back, right here, on our next visit! We had it all, thank you again for another wonderful stay!
