Great place, great location!

4 of 5
My husband and his family stayed here for three nights - shorter stay. They've never been to LA and surrounding area so we decided to take them around. What a great little spot! The location was right in the heart of Venice without it being too loud. Excellent walking distance to downtown Venice and Santa Monica, which is what we wanted. The actual duplex was great - very clean and still kept very well. Perfect that there were two rooms with closed doors for privacy; there was also a futon bed (took some time to figure out, but we got it. It's a pull out one that lies flat out!). Great bonus was that there was a hot tub and 4 retro bikes! (we didn't use the bikes though). We also liked that it was private (the front of the duplex belonged to someone else). Cute little property in a great location. Will definitely stay here. Also: don't listen to the negative reviews here. The only thing I would mention is that the bathrooms have a rather odd layout - no counterspace. However, that was easily fixed by putting bathroom ammenities in the cupboard. Will recommend to others!

Beach Visit

5 of 5
Walking distance to beach, quiet and well maintained, perfect for the two of us and our dog. No hiccups, owner responded immediately to a text inquiry when we needed clarification. Comfortable bed, nice shower head. Warning though! If you are from out of town (we are from Northern California) wear your sandals on the beach...my feet returned covered in oil spots! This had nothing to do with the unit, of course, just a heads up 8^). Great spots to eat, hang out and people watch, not far from Santa Monica shopping, all in all a great short vacation enhanced by a great place to stay. Thank you!

Modern Venice Beach Pad

5 of 5
My family of four spent 3 nights at this beach pad condominium. Here are my impressions: 1. Condominium. The unit is well represented in the photographs. It is light filled. All of the modern appliances work fine. We did not cook, but the kitchen is well stocked to make meals. There is a coffee maker. The bathrooms are clean with good showers and plenty of hot water. The beds are comfortable with good linens. The main living area has great furniture and entertainment system. There is a very good ocean view from the living room and from the deck. There is secure parking in the basement of the building. The WiFi works great. 2. Location. It is in a prime location. It is an easy one block walk to a great section of the beach. This section is far enough away from a big parking area or the boardwalk so it is more peaceful. The condo is on Main street but on the back side of the building so there is no traffic noise. There are restaurants just under the condo and a Starbucks downstairs. It is a short drive or long walk to Abbot Kinney Blvd. which is a great street for shopping and dining. 3. Hostess. Tiffany was very responsive to questions I had. She left detailed instructions on arrival. She very thoughtfully stocked the bathrooms with some toiletries so we did not need to make a last minute run to the pharmacy. Ours was an excellent experience and recommend the condominium without reservation.
