Recent The Bay Area Reviews

Glad we did it!

5 of 5
What can I say...amazing place. We (party of 4) spent 4 nights in this appartment and it exceeded expectations. Payment and reimbursement of our deposit went without a hitch. The place was exactly as described, a quaint little Victorian place in the city but without the hustle and bustle unless you wanted to. It was walking distance to the tram, restaurants and super market. In fact, just days before our trip, Nick had already started writing to us, giving us tips on places of interest and what to dos. This went on even whilst we were there. All this was on top of the already very detailed file that they (the owners: Nick and Laurence) had put together in the appartment for visitors. The appartment was modern and extremely well maintained. Cable TV kept the kids quite whilst getting over the time change. One morning the cable receiver decided to take a break but Laurence was in real quick fixing it up. I did spend some time on the porch which overlooked a small garden with pond. A small oasis of peace and tranquility....and some nice wine. There are restaurants galore around the area so just walk around. We had dinner near- by at Super Duper Burgers. Good stuff. The queue did wind out of the doors at one point...always a good sign. We did spend quite a fair bit of time in the main city area itself which was about 40mins away with the tram (direct) depending on where you were getting off so real convenient getting to the sight seeing spots. Recommend renting a bike and riding across the Golden Gate. There are bike rentals opportunities galore - just walk along the wharf area and you can't miss them. View was spectecular and the bike rental place provided maps and tips - mind you it's not exactly cheap where bike rentals are concerned. We stopped at Sausalito and took the ferry back but you could bike further if you wanted. So if you're are planing a trip to SF, we were glad that we stayed at Laurence and Nick's place. I believe they even have a studio appartment on top of this one bedroom that we took.

Fantastic Rental

5 of 5
We just stayed here with our family. We came out to enjoy the Bluegrass Festival at Golden Gate Park. Everything was great. We were 2 blocks from the park, 2 blocks from the ocean and in a very safe, quiet neighborhood. The two master suites are very nice and the beds are comfortable. Each master had it's own bathroom which was exactly what we needed. It did include toiletries, but I would recommend bringing your own. There was only some Spongebob soap and a bottle of shampoo in our shower. Luckily I always bring my own stuff, so it wasn't an issue for me. There is a Safeway right around the corner so you can stock the fridge with food and drinks. I would definitely return to the same location.
