Recent The Bay Area Reviews

Comfortable and well located

5 of 5
The apartment is comfortable and in a quiet location, close to restaurants and local transport, exactly as described in previous reviews. We would like to make special mention of the way that Laurence and Nick put themselves out to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Nick sent us several emails with information on places to visit and things to do. One suggestion was Mission Dolores on 16th, a 15 minute walk from the apartment.Completed in 1791, it is the oldest intact building in San Francisco. In addition to the Mission itself, the Basilica, Museum and Cemetery are fascinating and provide an insight into the founding of the City of San Francisco. The Castro district is fun and we made the 'Twin Peaks' pub our local. Our favourite restaurant was 'Cafe Mystique.' Try the Moroccan Chicken followed by fried banana. On the day of our departure, Laurence kindly arranged for a taxi to take us to the Airport. The apartment provided a comfortable and economical way to enjoy San Francisco. Much nicer than any hotel. Ps. An iron on the premises would have been useful.

I wish I was still on Mason St., San Francisco!

4 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay in this very nice apartment. It is beautiful, in a beautifully maintained building. Just accept the three flights of stairs, like all the surrounding hills- its San Francisco! The cable car travels right past your front door and the bus is half a block away. Owner supplies transit cards good for these and subway- cards will get you all over town- good as gold (it helps to get a transit map). Or walk a couple of blocks downhill to the middle of Chinatown. Fascinating area. Don't miss it!

Cozy apartment in a convenient location

5 of 5
This apartment is true to the description and photos posted by its owners. It is clean and cozy, with a thoughtful kitchen that comes in handy when you just want to stay in and make a home-cooked meal. Another nice feature was access to their washer and dryer in the basement. When we had any issues that needed to be addressed, Paul and his team were very attentive and prompt to respond. This apartment is a nice, more spacious alternative to your typical hotel stay and I would be happy to return during my next visit to San Francisco!
