VIP Accommodations and Stunning Views

5 of 5
This penthouse could be the perfect launching pad for your personal San Francisco story/romance. You see the Golden Gate Bridge, spires of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul and the San Francisco Bay through sparkling clean, wall to wall picture windows. The same view at night takes your breath away. I want to move in and stay forever. Located in a lovely, 1930’s era building; the thoroughly modern interior is appropriate for a comfortable family reunion or corporate event. If you are in town for a convention or media shoot, this penthouse will serve as a perfect VIP accommodation. I appreciated the attention to detail, down to the key-less entry. I saved so much time not looking for keys every time I left and returned. North Beach, down the street is one of the nicest SF neighborhoods and I enjoyed wondering around, finding places that aren't in the guidebooks. I spent a lot of time on the roof, taking pictures of the roofs below and the wild parrots that fly around the neighborhood. I've written a longer review starting on page 58 in the January 2015 issue of Vacation Rental Travels (http://vacationrentaltravels.com/2014-winter)and more on my blog: http://adventuringwomen.com/san-francisco/ which I'll update regularly.

We had a perfect stay other than some mildly noisy neighbors but truthfully it comes with the where you are staying. My only suggestion would be that the apt needs to be updated a bit especially the kitchen which just in general needs more updated pots, pans, baking dishes, wine glasses etc. . The view was amazing and the walk into town simple. Parking was never an issue if your ok with a short walk. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Live Like a Local

5 of 5
My husband and I and our pup stayed in the apartment for a week over the Thanksgiving holidays. After we resolved some communication issues with the owner regarding our assigned parking space, our week was dilemma-free. On foot, the apartment is convenient to the great restaurants and shops in North Beach and to the rest of San Francisco by car. We parked our car for the week and used Uber for all of our road trips. It was safe, efficient and inexpensive and eliminated the worries about driving and parking in an unfamiliar city. The apartment is simply but tastefully decorated and is very clean. This was the 7th VRBO of our extended road trip and was by far the cleanest. And the view is wonderful. The only downsides: It's a hilly neighborhood. If you have cardiac or respiratory issues, these may detract from your enjoyment of the area. There is no "green space" right outside your door. If your pet is with you, the walk to the nearest park is several blocks away. Finally, the alleyway leading to the apartment needs better nighttime lighting.
