Wonderful time! Great location & service

4 of 5
My husband and I-along with our baby stayed at this Condo/suite for three days during New Years eve. This is located at the heart of the marina district - awesome location where you can walk to the beach/water, the palace of fine arts, and restaurants and shops. The place was clean and and well organized-especially the kitchen. Not enough natural light during the day but we were out and about all day anyway. Only minor issue was that the bed was a bit hard for us. We were there over the freezing cold nights so the heater circulation through the vents and the portable radiant heater provided wasn't enough for us. But we just went to target and bought a safe portable heater to help us keep warm and returned it after our trip. LOL! overall-the place is was very nice. Service was outstanding! Edward and his wife were very helpful! They even provided a crib for our baby to stay in so that we don't have lug ours when traveling! They also gave us a bottle of champagne as a welcome gift. He checked up on us from time to time through text. Parking- you can park on the street but will have to move your car to another location and pay over night parking. We parked at the Wells Fargo parking lot. I think one day we didn't have to pay because of a holiday or ut was a weekend but make sure you read the rules to avoid a ticket! Parking wasn't too bad. We managed to find parking. I would recommend staying here.

Clean, comfy and a great location

5 of 5
My husband and I were looking for a place that was central without being touristy and crowded and the Bernal Guest Bunk was perfect! The apartment is very private and well supplied with dishes, a small fridge, toaster oven etc. We had a rental car for the duration of our stay but public transportation is close by. Cortland Av is walking distance up the hill and has a variety of restaurants: Bernal Star is awesome for supper and The Lucky Horseshoe is great if you are just looking for drinks with the locals. There was also a Mexican restaurant that was excellent. Basically, if you're looking for good food and good coffee, you've come to the right place. There are grocery stores and gift shops along Cortland as well. Spend a day on Fisherman's Wharf: Check out Alcatraz but try and make it to the earliest tour and you may need to book your tickets in advance. The SS Jeremiah O'Brien is pretty interesting as well. We had a great lunch at The Franciscan which overlooks the bay. Be sure to check out the Golden Gate Bridge and Stinson Beach. The beach was relatively quiet and very pretty. The Golden Gate Park was also a great day trip. We made it to the Botanical Gardens and the Conservatory of Flowers but there are many other attractions in the park. If you're visiting during the high season or if there is a place with limited seating/space that you're just dying to visit, book in advance. Diane is a great host and will gladly make suggestions for places to eat and attractions to see. If you have any issues, they will be dealt with promptly. She's also great company:) If you're coming to San Francisco, the Bernal Guest Bunk is the place to stay. We will for sure be recommending it to our friends/family!

Piece of paradise

5 of 5
This property is truly majestic. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. There are so many little pockets at Dipsea, you can experience a different part of the grounds at different levels and truly appreciate it's beauty. The trail was a short walk to the beach. The grounds were beautifully kept and the Gazebo was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed from lanterns to eating utensils. The Gazebo is built so well you could either enjoy peace and quiet or open the doors to hear the sounds of the waves. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable weekend getaway I have been on in a while. Thank you for the experience Elly and sharing this with us. It was a little piece of paradise❤️. Sincerely, Lisa and Rommel
