Absolutely Perfect

5 of 5
This place was a perfect choice. My husband and I stayed here last week and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our Sonoma vacation. The house and location are amazing - beautiful backyard and view, great space, cozy feel, close to downtown Sonoma. Immediately we felt right at home here. The house had everything we needed for a wonderful and romantic vacation. It was just the two of us, but we could have easily had two more people with us and still felt like there was plenty of room. Before I go on a lengthy review, below are just a few of the advantages of staying here: - Close proximity to downtown Sonoma (in my opinion, one of the best downtown areas in the greater Napa/Sonoma area). - AMAZING view. Morning coffee looking out onto a bocce court, beautiful gardens, vineyards and mountains was just about as picturesque as you can get. - Great accommodations with everything you need in a house. - Location in general was perfect for traveling throughout the Sonoma/Napa area. We spent most of our days driving around the Napa/Sonoma area winetasting and made it home by about 6pm each night. This worked out perfectly because we could enjoy some delicious wine and make dinner in the comfort of "our own home". I honestly can't imagine staying in a hotel considering how easy and convenient it was having a whole house at our disposal. The house's location itself is great too. The views (as mentioned) are incredible...vineyards, greenery, mountains...amazing. And less than 2 miles from downtown Sonoma you can't beat the convenience. We didn't walk to downtown much because we were often driving around but it is definitely a doable walk. After visiting many of the Napa/Sonoma areas I will say that Sonoma is my favorite downtown area of all. So comfortable and quaint, and it has a wide array of restaurants, shops, wineries and bars. The Sonoma Marketplace is a great place to stop for groceries - fresh bread, huge cheese selection, nice meat/seafood department and a decent local wine selection. As much as we loved the restaurants downtown, it made our trip being able to stop by and pick up the perfect wine-pairing food for dinner back at the house. Lastly, but definitely not least, Julie is great. Because everything went smoothly we really didn't need to reach out to Julie much. But she made sure to check in with us via email the first day to make sure we had what we needed and couldn't have been nicer! Overall, definitely a 5/5.

I would recommend this property to my friends

5 of 5
Dear Ms. Reed, Thank you very much, we had the best time, it exceeded expectations, wish we could have spent more time. My grandchildren enjoyed the backyard and son and wife were so impressed with the tasteful landscaping. The house held more then what you could ever wish for, so comfortable and cozy that you immediately felt like being home. The location was convenient to everywhere we needed to go. Again - we had the best time and loved every minute, we found everything as it was described, very well cared for, clean and maintained. It is stocked with linens, dishes, bar ware, items to grill and utensils, even some food items and spices, that you could stay for days - or weeks Sincerely Hiltraut Knox

Very Relaxing!

4 of 5
We arrived for a week of relaxation and wine tasting in Sonoma Wine Country culminating with a family wedding at Cline Cellars. We booked The Black Sterling Vineyard Estate sight unseen and were happy with our choice. The house and location was perfect for our party of 14 two of which were children under three years old. The house was well appointed. Always something to do as we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, pool table, available games and venturing to the stables to see the horses and feed them carrots. To our surprise and delight the resident horse named Sterling even repaid the visit by coming to the yard to see us as he is allowed to roam the property. Beautiful morning walks provided much wild life to see. We encountered two small problems, notified the owner and they were taken care of promptly. The property is close to the downtown area, wineries and restaurants. Grocery shopping not too far away and a local farm stand close by. Things that could be improved are: the wi-fi/internet access was limited and would not permit access to an office VPN; the air conditioning upstairs was inadequate (but opening the windows solved the problems for sleeping at night). Overall, a great time was had by all.
