Spectacular Views next to Cline Cellars Vineyards

5 of 5
We were a group of 6 couples attending a wedding at Cline Cellars Vineyards. This home suit us perfectly-- we could WALK to the festivities at Cline Cellars, as it ADJOINS the Black Sterling Villa! Two in our group had been to the villa years ago, and were delighted to see the updated bathrooms and kitchen, and the home was completely refurnished in 2013. We especially appreciated the new beds and sleeper sofas---the MOST COMFORTABLE we have experienced in ANY rental home. One of our guests, in a wheelchair, found the master suite ideal and easily accessible. We LOVED grilling out on the massive guests, and just hanging out in this home, using the jacuzzi, pool, and playing foosball--and walking to the nearby wineries--cline, gloria ferrar champagne caves and Jacuzzi Vineyards, and Viansa. There is a groundskeeper on the property daily that took care of all our concerns and questions--a service we had not experienced at ANY other home rental. We are already planning a return to wine country---if you want everyone in your group to have a REAL bedroom--it is ideal for 5 couples. For those that dont mind very comfy foam sleeper sofas in separate rooms, you can comfortably sleep 4 additional people. Our group of 6 couples were VERY happy with the privacy and comfort of the all new furnishings. Recommend driving to the Golden Gate Bridge and WALKING across--it is just a 35 minute drive from the villa and a highlight! We also recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to ride a imported FRIESIAN horse , roaming in the [pastures on the property. Wifi was good for checking email; limited for music or movie downloads. Two kitchens are really well stocked, to the delight of the "cooks" in our group. We learned that the Black Sterling Villa was recently sold for 4 million dollars and will no longer be offered as a vacation rental home in 2015---we were thrilled to have the opportunity to enjoy this luxury home this summer--it is by far the nicest, best maintained home we have every had a privilege of renting!

Russian River Relaxation

5 of 5
We spent three extremely relaxing nights at Sonoma River House in late February 2014 as a long-weekend getaway from San Francisco. It's a comfortable and well-furnished house overlooking a particularly beautiful stretch of the Russian River near Duncans Mills, a few miles inland from Jenner. (The online Area Map showing the location as near the town of Sonoma is completely wrong; the house is a 75-minute drive from there. I pointed this out several weeks ago to Luxury Rentals but it hasn't been corrected.) The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was at the proper temperature, the kitchen had what we needed to prepare dinners, and the wi-fi worked well. My only complaint is that the DVD players wouldn't play Blu-Ray disks and were unusable for regular DVDs due to missing remote controls. We definitely enjoyed out stay and plan to return.
