Fantastic Place for Family Fun

5 of 5
The entire family (12) spent three days at Christmas enjoying this wonderful home that had everything that anyone could expect. Outdoor activities included rock fishing at Salt Point, hot tubbing and reading on the large deck, mushroom hunting using a guide found in the well-stocked library. Indoor activities included viewing fishing boats out at sea with the resident telescope, solving a multitude of jig saw puzzles, playing lots of canasta, eating home cooked meals and of course enjoying everyone's company 'cause there was no television to distract attention from the purpose of the family reunion. There are two master bedrooms and the four others took care of those who did not yell "shotgun." After a lot of rain and winds on the coast, the weather for the days we were onsite was absolutely perfect. None the less we like to use the fireplace in the early morning and after 5:00 pm when it started getting dark. Travelled up to Gualala to find a very nice bakery that helped make a birthday party a big success. We would recommend this property for all ages and appreciated the fact that pets were not allowed. The well-stocked kitchen was super. We decided not to go out for dinner and risk driving in fog and windy, narrow roads.

Home away from home

4 of 5
The house was just right for our time in Santa Rosa. The kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. The yard was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio. It was clean and well-maintained. It is close to all the wonderful things to do in Sonoma County. We enjoyed our breakfast at the Piner Cafe, and did our grocery shopping at nearby Raleys - a lovely grocery/wine/beer/all-purpose store. We visited wineries [Bella and Truett-Hurst were both top-notch]. If you go, make sure to stop at the Dry Creek General Store and get sandwiches to take to Truett-Hurst and eat them in the Adirondack chairs that they provide along the lovely creek next to the winery, or you can eat them just outside the store on General Store patio with the great view of vineyards. If you to the general store, make sure to see the bar within the store. We had fun at the beach, Bodega Bay - clam chowder is delicious. The location of the house is in a quiet subdivision. I would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous Vacation at Sara's Oasis

5 of 5
My husband and I and our good friends just returned from a wonderful week at Sara's Oasis. In reading the reviews and looking at the pictures before we left we had high expectations. Upon first arrival and our look around the house and the grounds I told Sara that this house is actually more beautiful than the pictures! The grounds around the pool and the gardens are indescribably lovely. The beds are very comfortable and the gourmet kitchen fully stocked. We shopped for seafood at Bodega Bay and cooked some wonderful seafood at the house. We love to go to wineries and spent several days at the many local wineries within driving distance. The highlight of the trip however was canoeing down the Russian River which is only about a 20 minute drive. The house is centrally located in the county which makes it easy to get to many communities in the area for restaurants and sight seeing. Thanks Sara for the wonderful week and we plan to return soon!
