Wonderful Weekend in Wine Country

5 of 5
A group of friends (8 total) rented Jay's house for a weekend and we had an amazing time. The house and yard (with gigantic garden full of fruits and vegetables) was perfect for us. Close enough to Solvang and Los Olivos for easy taxi rides to attractions, and right down the street from El Rancho Market. The house is as described and better. Everyone had good nights sleep on comfortable beds, and the size of the house is perfect for medium size group gatherings. The kitchen is large enough for several people to cook at once, and there is plenty of space to spread out between the living room and the lovely backyard. Jay was so accommodating and nice. We were very welcomed, and he was communicative and near-by if we needed anything. I've rented several houses through VRBO, and I have to say this was definitely one of the more cared for places I've ever stayed in and certainly the nicest homeowner! It felt like a home, not a house filled with discarded furniture, like so many rental houses do. The cost of the rental was comparable, and in many cases, less expensive than renting hotel rooms and definitely worth it, especially for a group that wants to spend quality time together. Highly recommended.
