The house is amazing by size and design because inside it was well architect to separate space between all bedrooms for privacy. There are four bedrooms/areas and three bathrooms. There is enough openness to never feel like you are confined and the deck alone for the view is shaped to fit more than 10 people easily! Waking up and going to sleep every day to view of Serenity lake was heaven! Amazing in vastness, peacefulness and low level activity by the neighborhood too.
We slept in the master bedroom on the ground floor to have a private entrance/exit to the deck which has two sets of patio furniture and a BBQ too. There is a cute bird house and two boats in front to use as well (canoe and peddle boat). We used the peddle boat and it was relaxing especially once we sat in the middle of the lake.........of course we drifted w/o realizing it heheheh. No worries in getting back though. My wife and I had to exercise for a time but it was an adventure nonetheless! We didn't use the stove or the wood fire heater but it was nice to have them there just in case.
There was a spider and moth entering the house but it is to be expected in that type of environment but other than that? We were by ourselves. The layout inside is stairs to the front door, walk in to the living room, kitchen and dining room area to the left, staircase to lead up to the 2nd floor where there is an open bedroom/office area w/ one queen size bed and two smaller beds for kids and than a bathroom too, past the dining room into the hallway is bathroom on the left, bedroom at the end of the hallway and master bedroom to the right.
There is a door in the hallway w/ stairs leading down to the garage but there is another door once in the garage which inside is another bedroom/studio really. It has a private entrance/exit to the lake itself! Kitchen and bathroom too! It is cold because of it being a part of the garage originally but there is a portable oil-based heater.
We did watch a couple of movies on the DVD player but they do have a VHS/tv combo upstairs to play the VHS tapes too. We didn't want to leave when it was time to head home, so we'll be back again! If there was a hot tub or pets allowed it would have been 5-stars for us but that's just our personal preference.
So, if you wanna get away and be one w/ the great outdoors? You'll find it here AND there is an open folder w/ references to eat, trails to explore and the rental contact lives close by too! Nanette was great!
