Loved It!

5 of 5
We came to this cabin for a weekend away with friends. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. What an amazing place, 6 bedrooms accommodated everyone. It was nice coming in and finding the folded sheets on the bed for us to make because I knew they were clean and no one else had slept in them. Loved the game room downstairs. The kids had a place to escape and we loved watching them have a fun time with the air hockey, ping pong table and WII. It is such a huge cabin (more like a home) you almost got lost in all the space. I loved the beautiful kitchen what a great place to gather, cook and visit around beautiful granite counter tops. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and then some. We have stayed at other places in the Sonora area in the past and have never been taken care of so well. There was plenty of cookware and every kitchen appliance we needed. The deck outside was an extension of this huge home. It was wonderful sitting outside in the mornings having coffee and enjoying peaceful mornings with beautiful views. We went to the lake a few times and loved it. The water level allowed us to find nice sandy beaches to sit on. The owner was great to deal with and always prompt in reply. We will be coming back to this cabin for sure. Thanks for providing us such a great escape.

Relax and Refresh

5 of 5
This is one of my favorite getaways. Whether I use this place to escape the craziness of life or use it as a place to take my kids on some great adventures, this place meets my needs. I love the fact that this cabin is not so remote, yet is close enough to the beaten path to make those quick trips into town for groceries or to jump in the car and be at the lake in a matter of minutes. The place is laid out nicely with three levels that meet a multitude of needs. When I bring other families, our kids tend to stay together downstairs enjoying the pool table, video games, and the bunk bed sleeping arrangements. The adults can enjoy the mid-level with opportunities to visit on the patio or in the roomy living area. The upstairs has the perfect set up with four different bedrooms that are also quite roomy. Kudos to the decorator for keeping it simple and inviting. As for inquiries regarding the cabin and what it has to offer, most questions are easily answered with a detailed notebook or with a quick call to the owner. Wi-if has worked properly every time and so has the television and video game console. My exercising needs are met with hiking trails close by and a beautiful area in which to run. (Whether it's through the neighborhood or along Bretz Mill road). And of course, the lake is a comfortable distance away, that planning is a breeze. If anything is ever forgotten, it's not a big deal to run back to the cabin to get it. My favorite part of the cabin is the patio, where I will often be found sipping a glass of wine and taking in the aromatic smell of the trees and fresh air. I also enjoy the tub in the master bathroom but wish there was a hot tub on the patio to enjoy the stars at night. Overall, every experience I have had here has been a positive one.

Fabulous Weekend, Amazing Cabin, Perfect for a Large Group of multiple Families!!!

5 of 5
We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was longer. We ended up having our whole family able to make it, a total of 10 adults and 8 kids, ranging from ages 2 to 72. I have to say, it slept everyone very comfortably. The write-up states that the cabin is deep in the woods and we almost avoided it because of this, however it is close to everything yet you feel deep away from everything. The deck in the back was ideal. We were able to watch the kids play all day adventuring around the cabin and into the woods. We were hoping for snow but the kids made like there was. They hunted for snow and brought it back and packed it into some of the hills around the cabin and sledded basically on wet dirt. I have to say, if there was snow this would be the PERFECT cabin to have fun sledding around. Plenty of great runs and you can watch the kids from the huge deck area. We enjoyed playing board games on the outside deck as well as around the large table in the dining area. We enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit out back. The bunk house was amazing, the kids loved it. The bunk room was ideal for our kids who ranged from 8-16 years old. The bedrooms for the adults were perfect as well, since two of them had extra futon beds we were able to have our smaller ones sleep with us, ages 2-4 but could have even slept adults they were full size futons. We had fun adventuring on the trails out back and even took one into town to get a little treat for the kiddos (a bit of a long hike but we needed it). We've ALL already discussed our next trip and it has this cabin as our first choice!!! You won't be disappointed if you rent it. Hope this write-up helps paint of picture of great family memories that for us will last a life time!!!
