                    SWEET,QUIET,COMFORTABLE

                    4 of 5
We only stayed a weekend and had multiple activities that kept us away from the cottage. I enjoyed returning at the end of the evening to the comfortable bed. I did have a couple hours to enjoy the porch with its country- like view one afternoon which was very relaxing. We (3 of us- myself and 2 teens) loved the heated bathroom as the mornings were chilly. My only issue was finding the side road that led to the cottage We arrived at 10 at night, it was dark, and a little bit of a challenge finding the place.

WONDERFUL WEEK IN THE "ZEN" BARN IN THE HEART OF THE SONOMA WINE COUNTRY

                    5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay in the barn. It was exactly what we wanted and it was an excellent location for exploring the wine country. As a base for touring it was ideal as it it is about half way between Healdsburg and Sonoma with an amazing selection of wineries within very easy reach (there were a few very close and within walking distance if you don't want to drink and drive) The barn is set back from the road. It is very peaceful yet not too far from Santa Rosa or Sebastopol for restaurants and shopping. The accommodation was excellent and beautifully furnished. We felt totally at home for the week. The highlight every day was sitting out on the patio in the evening with a glass of wine looking out on the vineyard, listening to the bees in the lavender and watching the humming birds coming and going. We also loved watching the quail family that seem to have their home at the end of the garden. The bathroom facilities were excellent with a fantastic wet area for showering. The kitchen was very well equipped and well laid out. The only things missing were a washing machine and clothes drier. (We were touring for a month and we missed having laundry facilities). The barn gave us a wonderful experience of open plan living and while the property is described as a studio it does not feel like one and it is very spacious and airy. We would highly recommend the barn to anyone looking to spend some time in the Sonoma area. A fantastic property and wonderful place to visit.
