A very peaceful retreat. Loved the friendly kitty.

This is a great place to stay, way better then a hotel. And for the same price. Great waffles and fruit for breakfast. Short drive to coastline and shopping. Found great service and food at Boathouse Sushi in Santa Rosa and Omlette Express in Windsor. The rest of our meals was able to be prepared at the cottage with great ease. Enjoyed beautiful gardens and many birds with great serenity without any intrusions on our privacy. Thank you so much to the wonderful owners who put together such an awesome getaway.

Relaxing retreat

5 of 5
My husband and I just spent four days at the zen barn in Forestville. It was our ten year anniversary, and we were looking to just relax and unwind. The property and surrounding area exceeded our expectations. The zen barn was absolutely pristine and very modern inside. The bed is incredibly comfortable. We slept soundly each night. The location is perfect being a bit private. It's very quiet and peaceful, yet you are still so close to many wonderful wineries and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant Backyards in Forestville. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is friendly. We also enjoyed touring Healdsburg, the many tasting rooms and shops. You must stop in Williamson wines. They are charming and pair each taste with a small cheese bite. We highly recommend the zen barn as a place for those looking for a romantic escape from reality for awhile. It was a joy.
