Beautiful view, wonderful place

5 of 5
Four of stayed here over Christmas and found it perfect for us. The view of the bay and Angel Island from the deck is transforming. Everything is super clean and pleasant. The apartment is top quality, up-to-date and well constructed, with new windows, and has everything you need. Bonnie is generous and helpful and completely reasonable. Everything you need or want is here: parking, laundry, WiFi, cable, all amenities. The best part is the location: one block's walk to Sausalito's most scenic bend that looks out to San Francisco and the Golden Gate. No hill climbing, almost on the water, a beautiful walk to downtown, and a walk to the ferry to SF. Bonnie even set up a small Christmas tree for us. Completely recommend this great place.

We had a perfect stay other than some mildly noisy neighbors but truthfully it comes with the where you are staying. My only suggestion would be that the apt needs to be updated a bit especially the kitchen which just in general needs more updated pots, pans, baking dishes, wine glasses etc. . The view was amazing and the walk into town simple. Parking was never an issue if your ok with a short walk. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Great Value with a Million Dollar View

5 of 5
We escaped the August heat of Dallas to visit San Francisco, but were disillusioned by the cost and size of the hotel rooms so we turned to VRBO. We have always loved Sausalito and this place was perfect. Two levels, great views, outside balcony, kitchen, daybed, office, bedroom, and cool breezes. Nothing was better than just walking the neighborhood and imagining owning one of the million dollar houses with the fabulous views. This was the perfect location away from the traffic for a day trip to Napa, Alexander valley, and a sailing expedition which we did out of Sausalito (see our trip advisor review on A Fine Day for Sailing). Parking on the hilly street was a little tricky, but it is for anyone living in the area and we viewed it as part of the Sausalito living experience. It was a little stuffy when we first arrived but this place is located in "hurricane gulch" and the cross ventilation is amazing. Just read the instructions so you don't tear up the blinds. I don't recall the number of steps, but when you live on a hill, I am not sure how you avoid a few steps.
