Great Value with a Million Dollar View

5 of 5
We escaped the August heat of Dallas to visit San Francisco, but were disillusioned by the cost and size of the hotel rooms so we turned to VRBO. We have always loved Sausalito and this place was perfect. Two levels, great views, outside balcony, kitchen, daybed, office, bedroom, and cool breezes. Nothing was better than just walking the neighborhood and imagining owning one of the million dollar houses with the fabulous views. This was the perfect location away from the traffic for a day trip to Napa, Alexander valley, and a sailing expedition which we did out of Sausalito (see our trip advisor review on A Fine Day for Sailing). Parking on the hilly street was a little tricky, but it is for anyone living in the area and we viewed it as part of the Sausalito living experience. It was a little stuffy when we first arrived but this place is located in "hurricane gulch" and the cross ventilation is amazing. Just read the instructions so you don't tear up the blinds. I don't recall the number of steps, but when you live on a hill, I am not sure how you avoid a few steps.

Stunning views and perfect for a young couple.

5 of 5
My daughter and her boyfriend stayed here and absolutely loved the location and stunning views. They walked to Bridgeway for crepe breakfasts, ran the trails in Muir Woods in the morning and loved the close vicinity to the City for the nightlight. Sipping wine on the deck watching the boats sail by in the evenings was mesmerizing. Perfect vacation spot and street parking was not that difficult. Thanks, Maria!

Sausalito Gem

5 of 5
This Apartment exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, throughout our stay it just felt like Home. located within walking distance to the ferry, fantastic restaurants, shopping, and all the sights of Sausalito it would difficult not to have a great time. The Apartment itself was well appointed, with all the stuff you need to prepare meals or just enjoy some wine on the Deck. It is super clean and the Bathroom with an oversized twin showers was cool. This place originally owned by 'Sally Stanford' a former Madame in San Francisco, and Mayor of Sausalito. She must have been a charmer because this place is full of charm and warmth. In fact if you read a recent Book on San Francisco by David Talbot, there are a few great quotes from Sally.WE will be Back!
