This ranch was particularly great because Lynda was kind enough to allow our horses and trailer on her property. The 10 acre ranch is just 2 miles west of the 101, on the 246-so it is easy to get to and close to stores.
Looking at the aerial picture--drive down the long, flat driveway lined with eucalyptus and pass a couple houses. Look to the left to see the huge sand arena, fully shaded pastures, and paddocks. Tucked beyond one treed pasture is a large rectangular pool and cabana. Pass more paddocks, shed barns and Lynda’s residence--the driveway begins to climb where the Eucalyptus turn left. The steep driveway leads you up to the far left where the ranch home is perched at the top of the hill and looks straight down at the wooded and property.
The immaculate, bright, sky-lighted home has the most beautiful, relaxing view of the valley and mountains, seen from the long front porch and large dining - living rooms.
Two sets of bedrooms are on either side of the central living-dining-kitchen rooms.
On the right: 2 great "kids" rooms share a full bath in the hallway. (Toys and books for kids!)
On the left is a huge master bedroom-bath suite. A mini kitchen in the hallway separates it from a large "rec" room with a fireplace, and small 3/4 bath-laundry space.
The whole house is nearly surrounded by porches or patios. There is a large patio off the kitchen that connects to a private triple suite apartment: bedroom, living room, and bath-kitchen. There is more than enough space for 3 families. Lynda continuously works hard and comes to the rescue to make your stay comfortable. You will enjoy meeting her horse and find out about her amazing England equestrian background. This is convenient lodging as you tour all the attractions in the Santa Ynez Valley.
