Vacation of a Lifetime

5 of 5
We planned this vacation as a getaway to celebrate my wife Peggy's and my 60th birthdays. We invited our entire family (four children and significant others) to join us, which they did. Let me start by saying the Villa Santa Rosa exceeded our expectations. It was simply wonderful. The Villa allows everyone their space and privacy in spite of the fact that we had 10 people. The Villa is a great starting point for excursions as we visited Southern Sonoma County, Napa Valley, the Russian River area and the Redwoods/Ocean. We also fit in 2 trips to Healdsburg. Kevin and Maureen were incredibly helpful. I am glad I had a chance to meet both of them. We did most of our evening meals at the Villa and had each couple prepare a meal. It worked great from baking to grilling! We even watched a few movies on Netflix! I really can't do justice to the Villa but let me just say you won't be disappointed. We truly had a vacation of a lifetime - thank you Kevin and Maureen!

Home away from home

4 of 5
The house was just right for our time in Santa Rosa. The kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. The yard was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio. It was clean and well-maintained. It is close to all the wonderful things to do in Sonoma County. We enjoyed our breakfast at the Piner Cafe, and did our grocery shopping at nearby Raleys - a lovely grocery/wine/beer/all-purpose store. We visited wineries [Bella and Truett-Hurst were both top-notch]. If you go, make sure to stop at the Dry Creek General Store and get sandwiches to take to Truett-Hurst and eat them in the Adirondack chairs that they provide along the lovely creek next to the winery, or you can eat them just outside the store on General Store patio with the great view of vineyards. If you to the general store, make sure to see the bar within the store. We had fun at the beach, Bodega Bay - clam chowder is delicious. The location of the house is in a quiet subdivision. I would highly recommend this property.
