      First Class Relaxation

      5 of 5
I hosted a good old fashioned Irish family reunion with people coming in from all over the globe. Everyone was stunned by the beauty, privacy and peacefulness of this location. The home was in perfect condition with high quality furnishings that gave the place a real sense of occasion. We cooked every night in the kitchen, including using the pizza oven to great effect. The pool and hot tub let you relax with the stunning vista before you. We chose not to heat the pool and didn't need to as it was ideal for cooling down without being too cold. The owner was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Everything he told us before we arrived was factual and he offered to help with our stay in any way he could since he knows the area so well. The house was a convenient distance to stores and to the town/beaches. We definitely considered this a home away from home and will be back there the next time the Irish family can all be in the same place at the same time. A wonderful location for a California getaway.

This rental is a good deal.

The owners of this property really have it figured out - everything was very nice. The house is very clean, new kitchen and baths, the enclosed courtyard with hot tub provides complete privacy, and all the necessities for your stay are in place. It's a five minute ride to downtown Santa Barbara, or a bike ride (on the bike lane) takes 10 minutes. The historic Santa Barbara Mission is within walking distance. Making the lease arrangements was easy and the property owner followed up promptly on everything. My wife wanted to become a squatter. One note to people not familar with the area - bring a light jacket or sweater, the nights get quite chilly.
