Outstanding! A 100% recommendation

5 of 5
We stayed at Avila street for 2 months and I can't recommend it highly enough. Everything that all the other reviewers say is spot on. Although Avila Street isn't cheap, it's worth every penny. It's exceptionally quiet, safe, convenient, luxurious, homely, roomy, light, clean and has a great feel to it. I'm an utter snob who has a great home in London so the bar is pretty high and it takes a lot to please me, my husband and my 2 teenage girls. As the reviewer below mine says our stay in San Francisco was enhanced and enriched by having the pleasure of staying in Avila Street. Can you imagine walking 5 minutes to the right of the house and being on the famous Marina with sweeping views of Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz and walking one block to your left and being on Chestnut Street which is the iconic 1920s Art Deco shopping street crammed pack with the best restaurants in San Francisco? So this location is perfect for San Francisco! It even has a garage although it was a squeeze to get the car in! Plus on every floor there is a deck or balcony and even a back yard to sunbath on and the highlight is being able to go onto the roof to see the sun go down over the Golden Gate Bridge. Adrienne couldn't have been a more obliging host. I just can't wait to visit my home from home next time I'm in SF!

Victorian Flat - a nice flat in a great city

5 of 5
We stayed at the Victorian apartment for the second time in three years. We were impressed by the high maintenance standard and again appreciated that the apartment is so well-equipped. Just like staying at a boutique hotel. As before we enjoyed the area and the many restaurants and cafe's nearby. Family from Copenhagen, Denmark

Perfect for the family wedding! Better than pictures!

5 of 5
It turned out to be even nicer than the pictures on the website! We were in San Francisco for our son's wedding. What a wonderful place for everyone, including the groom, to get dressed and ready for the wedding. Two separate floors of bedrooms and bathrooms. The whole house was very clean; especially the bathrooms which had modern features, lots of hot water and towels, etc. The dining room table extended into double the length and we had 8 plus people sitting, eating, and visiting. The living room sofa was very comfortable and we added a few chairs from the bedrooms and were delighted at the space as we had many visitors the day after the wedding. We used the gas grill, the "chef's delightful" kitchen (which was well stocked with coffee makers, pots, pans, and utensils) and the extra kitchen downstairs to feed our hungry and tired visitors who stopped by the following day to wish the bride and groom " hugs" before heading out to the airport or heading home. In the early evening, we walked down to the beach to watch the gorgeous sunset and visit "The Cliff House" area with breathtaking views. "A Must for every visitor!" It was a perfect ending to a wonderful weekend. It was so helpful to have a parking spot for our economy car so that we could run out to the grocery store for supplies. The owner had everything ready for us...like keys, wifi, etc. We also used Uber to get around the city when we didn't want to worry about parking elsewhere in the city. Like most San Francisco homes, there are steps so beware if you have trouble with stairs. This was our first VRBO and we were very pleased with the results. We loved the location and felt very safe in the neighborhood. We will be back. Thank you!
