I stayed in this house with my wife and 2 children for family wedding at the Catamaran Resort & Spa, which is in the area. This house was hidden away, slightly off the road - far enough from the bustling action, yet close enough to everything. My SUV stayed parked most of the time in our own carport, since we were central to everywhere we wanted to go (which was mainly the beach or the bay). I would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying in the area.
Let me start by saying we were very pleased the moment we walked to the front door, through the gated private patio, and immediately were taken in by the beachy decor, the spaciousness, the brightness and cleanliness of the house.
Despite a stop at the grocery store, we discovered that the house was well stocked with beverages, spices and everything else we could possibly need for our stay - cleaning supplies, washer/dryer, towels, shower soaps, iron, etc. etc. etc.
The kitchen had everything we needed, whether it was to reheat restaurant leftovers, or cook (or grill outside) a full meal. Bikes, beach, chairs, books, satellite TV, WiFi, Land-line phone - where do I stop?
More extended family stayed in the unit above us, and they were the ones who recommended this great house to us. Sheila, the property Manager was very helpful in showing us everything we needed and being available if we needed anything or had any questions.
The only real cons have nothing to do with the house itself - cell service can be weak in this area, so the land-line phone is a great amenity. I am sure I have not listed everything that made us happy, but I can say for sure that when we come back, we would stay at this house over a hotel any day. Oh yes, and like San Diego itself, the home is pet-friendly... but you would never know, as the house was very clean.
