A Terrific Way To "Go Native" In La Jolla

5 of 5
Our family of four (mom, dad, 11-yr old girl, 15-yr old boy) just spent a terrific week staying at this apartment, which is situated right in the heart of La Jolla Village. This second floor apartment was spotless and very well appointed. We were honestly lacking nothing to make our stay comfortable. Within walking distance of restaurants, a good grocery store, the beach and other amenities, we really enjoyed going native for the week. The Farmers Market, held every Sunday, is ONE block away! A real bonus was the great patio that we enjoyed every morning and then every evening when we returned from our day of exploring. Although these points didn't detract from our family's enjoyment of the property, you may have different ideas of what constitutes a perfect vacation rental: 1) No pool 2) No off-street parking (we didn't have an issue finding on-street parking but La Jolla is densely populated and it may be an issue at certain times of the year). 3) No ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We slept with the windows open; it was a bit noisy with traffic first thing in the morning during the week. 4) The apartment is accessed by a flight of steps. 5) The place is a bit "lighting challenged" for reading at night. Finally, I can't say enough positive things about our hosts. They were very, very nice people who are clearly adept when it comes to managing the property appropriately for guests (they've been at it since 2006). Take some time to get to know them. They are dyed-in-the-wool Californians who are a wealth of knowledge!

A Vacation to Remember

5 of 5
This is an amazing beach house. We were impressed with the boogie boards, sand toys, surf boards and things for the kids to do. It is very spacious, clean and organized. We all had such an incredible vacation to this beach house and would recommend it to anyone.

Truly Amazing

5 of 5
Great time! We were here for once in a lifetime waves caused by a hurricane all the way down Mexico. It was so much fun just to sit in the beach chairs on the private beach and watch all the surfers out in the waves. They made it look easy. We even used your boogie boards in the surf ourselves. It was fun to give it a try. Thanks for making the stay so awesome. Your house had everything we needed and then some. The cookies were appreciated too. We enjoyed breakfast out on the beach watching the morning dolphins pass by. Thanks again
