Wonderful stay

5 of 5
One of the best places we've ever stayed. Wonderful, luxurious, relaxing privacy. Bucolic setting. Nice for us adults and our seven year old. Much better than staying in a similarly priced hotel!! We went to Legoland one day (easy, relatively short drive) for my son's birthday but decided to stay at the casita rather than do any other sightseeing and didn't regret it for a minute (especially after spending an hour in traffic in Torrey Pines and La Jolla on our last afternoon). Internet access was spotty, but I'm not sure that was a bad thing. We prepared simple meals in the casita (Whole Foods and Albertsons are nearby) and had great meals at nearby Delicias restaurant. Can't wait to return!

Minnesota family of 16!

5 of 5
Our family, including 2 grandparents, 6 adult children and 8 grandchildren (ages 21 down to age 6) had the absolute best time staying at this wonderful Coronado property! From the super clean house to the awesome heated pool, water slide and hot tub to the pool house we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious...starting with the open plan vaulted great room..dining room..kitchen to the 4 main floor bedrooms and 2nd floor loft large bedroom( our grandsons took over the loft and had a ball) to the nicely equipped laundry room and fantastic pool house with king bed, fireplace, bathroom and kitchen we just enjoyed our time there. The best thing about the place was that we immediately felt very comfortable and at home there. Thanks, Judy, for helping our family make a lifetime of memories there!

Perfect Place For a Big Group

5 of 5
This place is great. We rented this house for a few days in late October & early November to accomodate guests for our wedding, which took place in the Ranch house next door. The house was great, and Bob, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. He took great care of us. The property is wonderful, and well-maintained, with spectacular views and great outdoor seating to take it all in. We were gathered nightly by the propane fire pits, doing everything from tarot card readings to pondering life, death and quantum physics. One would think (and we did) that this place was in the middle of nowhere, but it really isn’t. You’re only about a mile from groceries, restaurants and whatnot. It was close to Legoland and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (not the main zoo near downtown). Some of the crew, including my in-laws and parents went to nearby Temecula to visit the vineyards and had a blast. Nothing in San Diego county is centrally-located per se, but if you’re looking to visit different places in Southern California I can’t picture a more perfect place to come home to at the end of the day. An hour and half from Disneyland, 45 mins from San Diego Airport and Gaslamp, maybe half an hour to La Jolla. When our time at the house was over, my new wife and I took a few days and traveled up the highway one to Monterey and then finished the last week of our vacation in various hotels in San Diego. We stayed in some pretty nice hotels but all we kept thinking was how much we missed Bob’s property. I didn’t spend nearly enough time in this house, which is upsetting because it’s a really cool place. I recommend it highly, especially if kids will be in tow, because Bob and his wife have done a lot to make sure kids are accomodated and safe. I loved playing the piano in the few scattered moments I got when I wasn’t rushing around doing wedding related things. Also, the master bedroom is absolutely phenomenal! About half of our guests had never been to California, and some were skeptical of what all the fuss was about, but by the end of the trip, everyone said the had the time of their lives, and were blown away by how nice the two houses were, how picturesque SoCal is and how accomodating and friendly Bob was. We’ll be back for sure. - Zach
