Awesome is the only way to describe this property

5 of 5
This is the type of property you walk into for the first time and start high fiveing the person your with. The size of all the rooms is quite remarkable. The house is clean and has lots of extras. Games to play, boogie boards, tools, beach chairs. I felt like I was right at home, not in a rental. The best part of the house was the view. The drop down from the grassy back yard (yes grassy back yard) to the beach was maybe 3 feet and the ocean is only maybe 30 yards away. At high tide it looked liked an infinity swimming pool the ocean is so close. I can’t think of anything the owners could do to make this house better. Very clean and the owner couldn’t have been more accommodating. Normally the pictures posted look better than the house. The is a rare case of the house is much better than the pictures. Thank you Kim for the vacation of a lifetime. I will be back.

A Terrific Way To "Go Native" In La Jolla

5 of 5
Our family of four (mom, dad, 11-yr old girl, 15-yr old boy) just spent a terrific week staying at this apartment, which is situated right in the heart of La Jolla Village. This second floor apartment was spotless and very well appointed. We were honestly lacking nothing to make our stay comfortable. Within walking distance of restaurants, a good grocery store, the beach and other amenities, we really enjoyed going native for the week. The Farmers Market, held every Sunday, is ONE block away! A real bonus was the great patio that we enjoyed every morning and then every evening when we returned from our day of exploring. Although these points didn't detract from our family's enjoyment of the property, you may have different ideas of what constitutes a perfect vacation rental: 1) No pool 2) No off-street parking (we didn't have an issue finding on-street parking but La Jolla is densely populated and it may be an issue at certain times of the year). 3) No ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We slept with the windows open; it was a bit noisy with traffic first thing in the morning during the week. 4) The apartment is accessed by a flight of steps. 5) The place is a bit "lighting challenged" for reading at night. Finally, I can't say enough positive things about our hosts. They were very, very nice people who are clearly adept when it comes to managing the property appropriately for guests (they've been at it since 2006). Take some time to get to know them. They are dyed-in-the-wool Californians who are a wealth of knowledge!

Truly Amazing

5 of 5
Great time! We were here for once in a lifetime waves caused by a hurricane all the way down Mexico. It was so much fun just to sit in the beach chairs on the private beach and watch all the surfers out in the waves. They made it look easy. We even used your boogie boards in the surf ourselves. It was fun to give it a try. Thanks for making the stay so awesome. Your house had everything we needed and then some. The cookies were appreciated too. We enjoyed breakfast out on the beach watching the morning dolphins pass by. Thanks again
