Staying at 3556691 -- loved it.

5 of 5
We had a marvelous time. This has, indeed, become our "home away from home" in La Jolla. We have now stayed at the Paseo cottage several times, and have found it to be a charming, very conveniently located, and well-appointed accommodation. Marilyn has, on every occasion, been a most efficient and concerned owner -- responding to any and all of our concerns. The cottage is very, very comfortable and well-equipped. We will always make this our first choice on our visits to La Jolla. One of our great pleasures is walking on the beach -- the cottage is a pleasant 2 minute walk to the beach, and La Jolla shores has at six fine places to eat, with excellent choices for breakfasts, quick lunches, and excellent dinners.

Wonderful!

We had a marvellous stay at this very beautiful apartment. Everything was very new and very clean, stylish ( high quality) and cozy. The location is also great, very private and very close to the beach (easy stroll to a beautiful beach; beach-chairs, beach towels and umbrella are provided). The owners were very caring and reliable. We were very sad to leave after our 10 days and would definitely love to return next year again. Highly recommendable!

The perfect spot to stage a SD beach vacation.

5 of 5
The Casita in OB was everything we had hoped for and perfect for a week long stay for our family of 4. It felt a little bit like a home away from home for us and helped cure our longing for some beach time. The kitchen is completely outfitted with everything necessary to cook and prepare meals, the oven / range is new, and everything was well maintained and clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the living room was very cozy. The bonus 'playroom' at the rear of the house, the outdoor courtyard, the rustic outdoors shower, the BBQ grill, and the outdoor living spaces really make the place. The dedicated parking space in the rear is also very convenient and was always available. This is a genuine local beach house outfitted with all the important things needed to properly enjoy the beach. All the extra owner amenities made it really great for us – the cruzer bikes, the extra body boards, the wagon, sand toys, the stroller, the cooler etc….The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly teaching the girls to body board they loved the (2) bodyboards that were at the casita. And then also coming back after the beach and using the outdoor shower. Then the location was also perfect for staging for sight-seeing other places in San Diego. Its really close to many of San Diego's main attractions, and easy to get to and from. Ocean Beach is a change of pace in contrast to many other places, as a very casual beach town. We beached in several other places, but spent the most time at OB near the Dog Beach, because it is so near and nice. There was some good surf several days and overall the place has a relaxing and very laid back vibe. The OB Noodle house nearby was fun to dine in, and lots of great beer choices. There are several nearby convenience stores with most everything you need, and there were also several other dining options nearby that looked good. I would have no hesitations recommending the Casita, especially for families looking for a great spot to stage a real beach and sight seeing vacation of San Diego. The owner Corey was excellent with us, he provided some valuable insights and suggestions before we arrived and greeted us at check-in to orient us to the basics of the Casita. I hope others find this review helpful, consider staying at the casita and enjoy it as much as we did.
