Truly a home way from home!

4 of 5
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Seabreeze has an app with all the necessary info on the rental, the area and the company, and it is the best thing ever! My only complaint is that the content was not available offline.
Using the app, we found the rental easily and checked ourselves in. There are electronic locks.
Our only problem during our stay, was the cleaning. The whole bed was COVERED in animal hair. It was on the pillow, the sheets, the duvet... everywhere! Also the bed skirt was seriously dirty and stained with gooey white spots and brown spots. Disgusting! Also the floors were gritty, the kitchenware was not washed properly and the outdoor furniture needed a good scrub. It was also very dusty, particularly on and behind the nightstands. The management company took care of it by sending someone to clean the rental, and also gave us a complimentary cleaning during our stay. The very dirty and stained bed skirt was never changed though and the dust was still there, so I really feel they should reconsider their cleaning team, as they obviously don´t take their job seriously.
The owners are very nice and helpful, although they have a company to handle the rental!
The rental is small, but it has high ceilings and lots of natural light, AC and a fan, and the double doors open up to the cozy patio where we enjoyed late evening BBQs and a glass of wine! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals. The bathroom is adequate. The only thing a bit annoying is the very low shower. I´m 5´6" and had to bend by knees to wash my hair and my boyfriend being 6´1" almost had to sit to take a shower. Ha ha!
The rental comes with bicycles and a ton of beach gear, which is a HUGE plus!
Location is perfect. 5 minute walk to the beach, 15-20 minutes to the Village. Very safe and very quiet! Loved it!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was sweet, in great shape and well equipped. The area was super convenient (not to mention beautiful) and the views from the deck and living room were really special. Wonderful experience overall.

The perfect spot to stage a SD beach vacation.

5 of 5
The Casita in OB was everything we had hoped for and perfect for a week long stay for our family of 4. It felt a little bit like a home away from home for us and helped cure our longing for some beach time. The kitchen is completely outfitted with everything necessary to cook and prepare meals, the oven / range is new, and everything was well maintained and clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the living room was very cozy. The bonus 'playroom' at the rear of the house, the outdoor courtyard, the rustic outdoors shower, the BBQ grill, and the outdoor living spaces really make the place. The dedicated parking space in the rear is also very convenient and was always available. This is a genuine local beach house outfitted with all the important things needed to properly enjoy the beach. All the extra owner amenities made it really great for us – the cruzer bikes, the extra body boards, the wagon, sand toys, the stroller, the cooler etc….The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly teaching the girls to body board they loved the (2) bodyboards that were at the casita. And then also coming back after the beach and using the outdoor shower. Then the location was also perfect for staging for sight-seeing other places in San Diego. Its really close to many of San Diego's main attractions, and easy to get to and from. Ocean Beach is a change of pace in contrast to many other places, as a very casual beach town. We beached in several other places, but spent the most time at OB near the Dog Beach, because it is so near and nice. There was some good surf several days and overall the place has a relaxing and very laid back vibe. The OB Noodle house nearby was fun to dine in, and lots of great beer choices. There are several nearby convenience stores with most everything you need, and there were also several other dining options nearby that looked good. I would have no hesitations recommending the Casita, especially for families looking for a great spot to stage a real beach and sight seeing vacation of San Diego. The owner Corey was excellent with us, he provided some valuable insights and suggestions before we arrived and greeted us at check-in to orient us to the basics of the Casita. I hope others find this review helpful, consider staying at the casita and enjoy it as much as we did.
