Incredible view and very nice condo equals great vacation

5 of 5
My wife and I have been living in VRBO rentals for almost 1 year now as we are home free and enjoying retirement. This is our top rated place... The location was perfect for us... on the beach with 180 degree views from the deck in either direction. The ocean and sunsets were fabulous. Dana Point can be seen to the right (a great to take local boat trips) and the pier to the left. I-5 is maybe 5 minutes away and downtown is just about as close. The condo complex sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean so Catalina Island is visible most of the time. The condo complex is well maintained and we had a parking space in a garage. Extra cars would park on the street. Access to the beach is available down a set of steps (apx 107 I think) so going down is easy... going up, was a little more of a challenge for me but I loved the cardio. The inside photos do not do it justice. Granite counter-tops, top of the line appliances including a very quiet dishwasher. The beds are comfortable, and the master bedroom has a large walk in closet. The shower in the master bath is luxurious... We cannot say enough about this wonderful place. We stayed a month (over the July 4th holiday) the fireworks were the best I have ever seen and we could see the ones on the pier to the left, Dana Point to the right and another one with an unknown location. We met most of the neighbors and they were helpful and friendly. The owners were friendly and helpful as well. I would not recommend this unit for children because of the bluffs etc but it is a very special place to us. The only down side (for us) was a community laundry although we were one of the few using it... and the train. There is a train track along the beach. The commuter train comes by regularly during the day tooting its horn and occasionally a freight train comes by at night. We noticed it because we slept with the windows open to enjoy the cool breeze. Oh, one last thing... the tv with Bose sound and DVD etc was very nice but a little too technical for me. I put it on one channel and left it.

Stunning Wonderful Perfect Amazing...

5 of 5
There is not to many words that could be better suited for this home then those in the title. It is a absolutely perfect home and offers every possibility of need your looking for. Located at the end of a dead in street gives you complete privacy while enjoying the Ocean Views. The home is perfectly decorated giving you the feel of a tropical get away while the comfort of your home away from home. The patio is wonderful and site literally feet from the pool all with scenic views of the ocean. Jeanne is a gem to deal with and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we need. You seriously can not get this type of a getaway in a hotel and most other Vacation rentals don't come close. We will hopefully be back again as this was a TEN STAR stay for us.

Excellent Home Away from Home

5 of 5
My family and I stayed here while I was on a working vacation in the area. The facilities were amazing and really felt like you were living in a fully operational 'home'. The office space was great for working, the bedrooms and master en suite were very comfortable. The pool was used by us often but not much by other people so it was like we had our own pool most of the time. The underground parking was plentiful, safe and convenient and there were spots to store our bikes down there too. The proximity to the beach and bike trails was great - the short hike with not too many steps to the beach was easy for the kids even carrying their own boogie boards from the condo. I was especially impressed with all the little things that you may want as you travel; they really make sure that you have nearly everything you could possibly need. Stuff like shampoo, conditioner and soap, band aids, a drawer of toiletries, a printer, a computer to use, a nice BBQ, standard condiments and many spices available for cooking. The closets are stuffed full of other extra useful things like boogie boards, beach umbrellas, hats, blankets, pillows, sheets, and even an iron with an ironing board. There's also lots of space to unpack to store things away in drawers if you prefer that too. I'd easily stay here again if I was in the area, a wonderful home away from home.
