TreeHouse Grove Is a Hidden Gem in Forestville!

5 of 5
This is the perfect home to rent for a weekend getaway or perhaps even a longer-term vacation rental! There are two driveways, so plenty of parking was great and being set in the forest lent a secluded, private feeling to the weekend. The house has an amazingly large deck and hot tub, which was great for reading and relaxing both on the deck chairs as well as in the hot tub (which was super clean and worked perfectly). The master bedroom had a queen bed with lots of pillows and a comfortable mattress. The second bedroom is off the deck and has plenty of closet space (as does the master bedroom.) Lighting was perfect and there was a hidden door with a stackable washer and dryer as well as other cleaning supplies (master bedroom). I particularly appreciated the wall-mounted heaters in the dining room and master bedroom as well as new cordless blinds in most of the rooms. The kitchen, while small, connects the main living area with the dining room and had wonderful colorful dishes and other kitchen staples which were more than enough for my peanut butter sandwich making adventures. It's really quiet at night, which can be a change for folks from the city. The bathroom is great for one person at a time, with a shower, toilet, and sink. Towels were clean and fresh and there were plenty of them. Bring your own soap and shampoo. There are two medicine cabinets for storage which I appreciated. In the main living area/den, a wall mounted tv with cable and DVD player worked well and the fireplace/wood stove added lots of heat to the room once I figured out how to light the wood (instructions are provided in the very detailed home manual). Guerneville is about a 15 minute drive away and the location of the home was ideal as it was close to various Russian River activities and wineries. Note that you're in the forest so you may see a few bugs (ants/spiders), but I only noticed a few outside on the deck. In any case, I'll definitely book again!
