Big beautiful rental in a rural setting in Hemet

4 of 5
There was plenty of room for three families with kids. The first floor is nice and spacious. Nice wood floors. The only thing we were missing as we all hung out in the living room was a rug or something to anchor and warm the place up. Just looked a little incomplete for such a nice room. Minor minor :). They had a well-equipped kitchen, something that was essential for us with young kids! There were only 3 dish-washing liquid gel packs, and we used those up before the last day! If you are travelling with kids or plan on eating in a lot, you may want to carry a few with you. Oh, I loved their farm table! I want one! There were more than enough linens for our 3-day stay. They looked clean, but a few extra ones had a mild musty odor. There were enough though that we chose fresher ones. They owners were nice enough to get 3 portable cribs for our young ones, and also leave Mega Blocks for the kids to play with during the stay. The master bedroom was huge, and the other 3 bedrooms were very spacious too! Do NOTE however, that this place is in Hemet. It is a bit of a drive from the wineries, and even more so from Old Town. We could only make one trip out to Temecula a day. It's sort of secluded and the outdoors are rather rustic. The kids liked not having the typical manicured outdoors though :-). Made for nice pictures too! Also note, there are two full baths upstairs - one is an on-suite with the Master bedroom, and the other three bedrooms share one common bath upstairs. There is also a full 3-piece bath on the first floor. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay! Aside from the fact that it is a bit farther out from town than we had hoped, everything worked well for us :-). Hope you enjoy your stay!

cousin get together in the wine country

5 of 5
what a magical time we had ...we joined our cousins from back east and almost booked two hotel rooms in town instead of the farmhouse...seeing that the price was comparable we made the right decision...the home..location..and beautiful views were the perfect spot to catch up with relatives..relax...cook and be happy to hurry back from the wine tours to our beautiful rental..we also were lucky to meet Barbara the owner and see the lovely grounds.. we hope to be able to return soon.....

Annual Sonoma Vacation

5 of 5
We annually make a trip to Sonoma and generally stay in Healdsburg. This year, we decided to rent a home in the Russian River Valley to provide more flexibility for our kids. We were drawn to Knowlton Farms by the combination of its location, amenities and apparent charm. Knowlton Farms exceeded our expectations in all respects. It is a fabulous property and home, and we would stay at Knowlton Farms again in a heartbeat. Top notch location, warm hospitality, terrific amenities and great house!
