3-GENERATION FAMILY VACATION

5 of 5
We stayed in this beautiful home July 5-12, 2014. Eight of us had a great time. There was so much to do in the area. The home gave us lots of room to spread out. The guys in our family really enjoyed the pool table and the Wii, playing golf often. Seems there was everything we could possibly want in the kitchen. There were lots of games, cards, DVDs and jigsaw puzzles. The Tahoe Keys marina and two pools were very close and we used all of them. We had a great time on the lake with a boat rental and a water toy. While we had the boat rental, we took a trip over to Emerald Bay. Gorgeous! The men golfed at Tahoe Paradise course and six of us played the local mini golf course. We contributed to the local economy by visiting Harrah's casino and the dinner we had at their Friday Station Restaurant on the 18th floor was delicious. We grilled dinner several nights on the gas bbq that was provided. We took turns going out in the owner's canoe, which was a lot of fun. We visited the Lake Tahoe Flea Market and one day was a horseback riding trip over at Camp Richardson Corral with a steak dinner afterwards. The home's deck had a nice hot tub and plenty of outside patio furniture. Plenty of comfortable furniture inside the home. Making the arrangements to rent for the week were easy. If you plan to rent 'sight unseen', then this is a sure bet and is well represented in the pictures and the descriptions.

GREAT SET UP AND AWESOME CABIN

5 of 5
After a long day of travel from the Midwest we arrived at the cozy cabin. It is extremely easy to find and everything is as advertised. The BEST thing about the cabin was the basement, which included a full bedroom with king size bed and a bathroom with an awesome shower. For families traveling, this is the perfect place for Mom and Dad to set up shop while the kids sleep in the first floor bedroom and loft. My younger son took the spare bedroom and my 15 year old took the loft. There are tons of board games, a wireless network that is easy to connect to and a flat screen TV. The kitchen has plenty of room and has everything that you would ever consider needing. Outside there is an awesome deck with a very nice grill. We cooked out every night and were amazed at the sheer volume and brightness of the stars. The cabin is literally across the road from the Tenaya Lodge and you can either walk or drive if you want to have a nice dinner, drinks or bar food. We were so tired that we went to Tenaya the first night and had a great meal. The next morning, we drove down the mountain to Oakhurst where there is a very nice grocery store with a great beer and wine selection. Its about a 20 minute drive but well worth it and really the only option. On the way back up the mountain, there is the Lewis Trail, which we stopped at and took a short walk down the mountain to a beautiful creek with waterfalls. The kids had a blast finding some monster...I'm talking lobster sized crayfish in the water. Its the perfect place for a picnic. There is also a riding stable right across the street from the cabin and we took an hour horseback ride, which was a blast. The giant sequoias are only a few miles down the road. Yosemite speaks for itself and if you havent been there, the sheer size of the place makes staying anywhere a hike to get to some parts. We did all the typical spots...Glacier Peak, Tunnel View, El Capitan, Vernal Falls and late one afternoon decided to go for a hike down into Mono Meadow, where I popped up over a rise and found myself locked eye to eye with a big reddish-brown bear at about 40 yards. You haven't felt adrenalin until you come face to face with a bear in the wild. We quickly and quietly left! The best part of the trip for my kids was Ken's old lazy boy in the cabin. They literally came to blows every night as to who got to sit it it! All in all great trip, great place and super cool people to rent from!

ROMANTIC AND PEACEFUL, ALL YOU COULD WANT

5 of 5
Judsen was generous and attentive to all our needs, we are very grateful for his kindness and want to recommend not only his lovely cabin but him as a person. We are avid hikers and we have a hiker dog. It was great to have everything there, ready for us, we could have left most of our stuff at home but brought extra just in case. They thought of everything, it was literally home away from home. The cabin is warm and cosy and after a long day hiking relaxing in the hot tub was just a dream. The best part was waking up to the sound of birds and squirrels and peace and quiet. It was a little colder so having a sunken fire place in the lounge was a real treat. I give this place and the owners a big A++ or the highest mark possible. You can definitely tell that love lives in this home.
