A Perfect Place for a Family Getaway

5 of 5
The property was perfect for our family. We were in town for a funeral, which wasn't a happy situation, but the location made us happy. Every night we would walk out and watch the fireworks. The property itself met all of our needs. It felt like we were home and on vacation. We can't wait to come back.

Will definitely stay again

5 of 5
Everything as advertised, great location, very nice and tucked away on a quiet walking street, private patio was great, with the great weather we were able to sit outside anytime during the day. We really enjoyed the older neighborhood with all of the trees it made walking to the beach, all block of it was no problem, when Marcus said the beach was a ½ block away he wasn't kidding. House was great everything you needed and more, Boogie Boards included, our son works in Venice, but commutes about 1 ½ hours every day, he couldn't believe how close this house was to his job, 1.6 miles, so needless to say he stayed there and loved the entire experience. We didn't get the chance to meet Marcus, but we did communicate by E-mail on several occasions. There was a water leak before we arrived and Marcus kept us informed of any possible problems we could have faced, nothing happened, but it was great that he kept us informed. Highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking to be near everything but far enough away to really enjoy themselves. We will definitely stay again, and soon. Marcus thanks for everything.

East coasters go West

5 of 5
We looked forward to the memories of a San Diego visit of 20 years ago for the climate, the lack of bugs, the gentle breeze and the casual time away. Check times four! Craig made the planning, the arrival and the stay at his property quite an enjoyable experience. The location is just 30 minutes to the downtown area attractions which means that it is also close to the suburban site seeing stops like the GIA (if you like to learn about gem stones), north county beaches and whale watch tours. The trips to Point Loma Lighthouse and State Park, the world famous SD Zoo, the many facets of Balboa Park, the Trolley tours of greater SD, the wondrous La Jolla and Torrey Pines beaches were within easy reach. Craig made them even easier with use of the vehicle from the property (avoiding a rental car) for our stay. The condo is nicely appointed with adequate space for a couple or a larger family. With nearly at grade access, those with ambulation challenges would be able to stay in the lower level master suite if others could take care of the cooking on level number two. The neighborhood is higher brow so safety on the sidewalks and outdoor areas was easy to feel right away. Local food and market availability was within walking distance. We enjoyed our week and would do it again if our yearning's for southern California called us back to the area. Thanks again Craig.
