Spacious, clean digs; wonderful host

5 of 5
We rented the apartment for a one-week family vacation in L.A. in March and it did not disappoint. The place is very much as advertised: clean, well situated and amazingly spacious (I mean REALLY spacious, the photos don't really do it justice). Beds are large and amazingly comfortable, linens white, clean and crisp. Despite its proximity to a main street, the apartment is very quiet at night and we all had amazing sleeps. Multiple Roku-equipped TVs kept our kids (11 and 15) happy and out of each others' hair. The apartment is an easy walking distance to lots of great restos--we particularly loved the FIsh Grill on Beverly Blvd (Kosher Mexican!) and Tinga on La Brea for tacos. Milk on Beverly has amazing bespoke ice cream and baked treats. For cheap, varied meals and local colour the farmer's market in the Grove can't be beat. Other nights we bought prepared food at a walkable Whole Foods and ate in the apartment. If you want a latte in the mornings the Coffee Bean and Tea leaf is a quick two-block stroll. Self-serve check-in/check-out using combination lock was a breeze. Sharlotte was a friendly, attentive but non-obtrusive host. She dropped by to make sure everything was all right and dropped (clean fluffy) beach towels off the same day we requested them. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the apartment to anyone who wants a great, central location in the LA area.

Both thumbs up !!!

This review is long overdue as we stayed here towards the end of 2014. We absolutely LOVED this apartment. From the moment we arrived and Kevin met us at the door we felt that this was gonna be our home away from home. The location cannot be beaten as you are steps away from the beach and the start of the amazing ;) Venice Broadwalk. If you like to wake up in the morning and enjoy a Starbucks on the beach this is the place for you. And since the apartment comes with your own parking spot, it was the perfect starting point for all our explorations. Just in the area: - Enjoy the Broadwalk steps from your front door - Venice Beach - enjoy the view from the veranda , have a nice swim every morning, maybe take some surfing lessons :) - Walk down to Santa Monica beach and third street promenade, and most of all the iconic Santa Monica Pier - A short walk away is also Abbott Kinney boulevard where you have some really good restaurants, galleries and also some amazing shopping The apartment itself was fully stocked with bathroom supplies, you had everything needed to make yourself breakfast, lunch or dinner in the kitchen , even a large supply of beach towels in the closet. Forgot your toiletries? No worries there are some complimentary ones available! The bed were huge and amazing to sleep in and there is plenty or storage space available for all your luggage. I most appreciated the coffee grinder, for those days i was too lazy to walk down to Starbucks haha! The apartment was spotless upon arrival, there was plenty of bedding and towels available and the washing machine and dryer was a life saver as we where there for 2 weeks! The owners even provided complimentary detergent, bleach, and softener! So basically just arrive with you luggage and you are set for as long as you are staying. The pictures on here are absolutely accurate. From the first point of contact Kevin & Sydney where amazing in helping us get booked in and provided all the information we needed. Kevin met us at the apartment and done a very detailed walk through and if you have the memory of a goldfish, there are also very detailed instructions left for you on the fridge. We felt reassured in the knowledge that if we got stuck in any way Kevin was only a phone call away. We couldn't thank Kevin and Sydney enough for the hospitality and help and information provided enough. I would certainly recommend this apartment and there's already talk of maybe returning again this year!!!

Great Stay in SF!!

5 of 5
Great one bedroom unit in a perfect location. Top of the line finish-out including kitchen and bathroom. Wonderful view from the bedroom window of downtown including the TransAmerica tower. Perfect unit for an individual or couple visiting SF. This part of the city is great - numerous restaurants. Easy walk into Chinatown or up to Fisherman's Wharf, etc. Bus lines are a couple of blocks away and will get you into downtown very easily and from there you get get the Muni trains or BART to go all over the city and the entire Bay Area.
