Best Place to Stay in San Fran

5 of 5
The listing was very much accurate to what I experienced. The property was very well maintained and Joy was such a pleasure to work with. She emailed me promptly after I paid with the details on how to get into the apartment. When the code she emailed me did not work, she was very accessible (even when I called her around midnight). I had a great experience staying here and will definitely be staying again the next time I am in San Fransico. I felt quite at home and the bottle of wine and hand written card were a nice touch! You cannot go wrong staying here!

The apt was exactly as described, very comfortable to stay in. It was clean and well mantained The location was great as well. If you look for a home away from home to stay in San Francisco, then this is the place.

A 7 minute walk to beach! Only a couple of small issues, would stay here again, the owner was great!

We had a great time when we stayed here 4 our trip to California during the summer of 2014. We stayed in the unit just 2 the left of the unit pictured (I believe they are identical). They have some other larger units as well, with 1 (or even 2, I think) bedrooms, so contact the owner if you need a bigger place. Lets get right 2 it, the place is small, but if you dont plan on spending much time in the place it should work great! The good: 1-THE BEACH! One of the best beaches in SoCal, also the water has arguably the best waves of any beach in SoCal (Hence the term Surf City USA...). 2-A reserved, off-the-street, parking spot! This was wonderful to not have to worry about parking, being so close to the beach. 3-A 2 minutes walk away from the shopping and the action on main street. Every Tuesday they would shut down main street for a flee market on main street. Also the Saturday we were there, they had an arts festival by the beach, which was very fun as well. 4-Jon, the property owner (If I remember correctly). He is a really friendly and accommodating gentleman from England. He is on the property often, and he's always happy to help you with anything you might need, if you ask him. 5-Competitive Pricing This was one of the cheapest rates we could find when we were looking to book a place. Jon had recently remodeled basically the whole place, so there were nice cabinets and countertops, and new stainless appliances, and given how small the place was (which was VERY small), it was actually a cozy place to be. That, plus the fact that this place was so close to the beach, made the price really quite good (Keep in mind that you really can not sleep any more than 4 people comfortably, due to the lack of space, but for 4 people or less ,this worked great). The bad: 1-The unit was on an alley way, so at night, there would sometimes be loud drunk people walking by being disruptive. Also, there was no Air Conditioning, so you HAD to have your windows open open at night so that you could sleep with some reasonable comfort, so you really had no choice but to be disrupted by the loud drunk people walking up and down the alley way at nighttime. 2-There was no Air Conditioning. Being from the high desert valleys of Utah, I'm used to being dry ALL of the time. The humid nights on the coast of California were hard to deal with for someone who is used to very dry relative humidities, so keep that in mind for those of you who come from dry climates.
