Relaxing, convenient, friendly… perfect! We'll definitely come again.

5 of 5
We could not have asked for a better spot to spend our vacation! I didn't realize until this trip how very convenient Point Loma's location is. Just minutes to everything, in every direction. Plus it's up in the sunshine out of the smog and fog, while still keeping the nice ocean breeze. Perfect! The home is a quaint older home, immaculately clean with an amazing view out the living room window (which we sat and enjoyed even more often than I expected). The two floors were really nice for having a little breathing space with our group of five adults and two children; and the beautiful, private, garden-y backyard was so nice for grilling and relaxing (and really, really great for my toddler to run around--I wouldn't have foreseen that need but it was sure a lifesaver). We LOVED being able to cook/grill our own meals lots of the time, especially with the great seafood market being just down the street. The beds have a nice variety--the Cal King is marshmallow-soft, while the other three beds are nicely firm. (I'm a firm bed person myself, but I'm sure there are some soft-seekers out there!) On a personal side, Peter and Linda could not have been more friendly and helpful. They greeted us with fresh daffodils in the living room and bathrooms. They brought us their own ice packs when a group member got injured. They let us use their Point Loma access card to see the tide pools and lighthouse. They offered great suggestions for all sorts of activities during our stay. Their house is fancy, definitely intended for a more mature audience than my little toddler and 2-month-old (!), yet they were gracious and welcoming to our little family. We will definitely be back!

Perfect stay

5 of 5
Alex was exceptional! Very accommodating and helpful! The house is in a great neighborhood close to everything. Perfect location for going to the beach or Seaworld. The house is clean and spacious. It was just as pictured. Very comfortable beds. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing stay in San Diego.

Be treated like Royalty at the 'Castle'!

5 of 5
The Castle was clean& organized and well equipped. The owner, Frank lives next door and left a welcome basket with some snacks& wine, took us out on a boat ride with a lovely assortment of snacks& drinks. He also got us guest passes to the yacht club next door where we had lunch one afternoon. He offered use of his beach and we could have had a beachside fire but we ran out of time. He also gave us privacy, if you didn't want to do any of the mentioned activities you didn't have to. He always called before he came and rang the doorbell! The area around the castle is beautiful with a walking path and beautiful views! We made use of the rear deck to sit and have coffee & enjoy the fresh air!
