Comfortable, safe and relaxing

4 of 5
Arriving at night it was nice that the unit was only 15 minutes away, well if we hadn't got lost of our own doing. What we did figure out is that even when lost, you are somewhere beautiful and safe. The condo was exactly as pictured and so nicely prepared with battery operated candles and a bottle of wine waiting. When we discovered that we needed items for breakfast such as coffee, etc. we headed to the Walmart only 5 minutes away. When I woke in the morning to the sunrise coming up over the mountains I couldn't wait to get outside and see our surroundings which didn't disappoint. Lush and green with mountains everywhere I was in my element and headed for a walk and felt completely safe at 6;30 being one of the first out. There is a path that goes around the golf course. Our favorite times were spent on the patio just being part of something so beautiful. We were so relaxed hummingbirds were hovering in front of our faces. Coming from a very busy and hyper city I really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere except for the odd randy driver. You really can't help but relax. If you want a little more excitement head downtown where you will find some great restaurants with great food and atmosphere -Spencers piano bar and restaurant at the tennis club, Lou Lous and Las Caseualos Terraza. In Palm Dessert we enjoyed the Cheesecake Factory and Whole Foods is a great store with lots of pre-prepared food if you want to eat in and organic and gluten free goodies. Our neighbors were gracious enough to give us a bag of grapefruits which were so juicy and delicious compared to what we get here in Canada. Neighbors were pleasant. Our host was very helpful and responded to any inquires quickly. The condo itself including the beds are very comfortable. I loved opening the loft doors each morning and enjoying the morning sounds before heading out for my walk. For shopping head to Cabazon outlet mall and El Paseo in Palm Dessert - both have great deals, selection and are fun to walk around. We also enjoyed the historical walking tour of the movie stores home provided by the historical society. Information on many of the things to do are provided in a healthy information packet in the condo. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend.

Loved it!

This condo was outstanding! Very private and quiet. It's central to everything in Palm Springs including close to downtown. You are a 20 min drive to the Cabazon Outlet Malls. The owner has taken care to provide everything you would need for your stay. All you have to do is show up with your suitcase and relax!

A Gem in Palm Springs

5 of 5
We absolutely loved Palm Springs, and feel very fortunate to have found the perfect place for two couples travelling together! We spent a month here, and had the most relaxing holiday, largely because of “The Oasis”. It just felt like home, the moment we entered the front gate. The king bedrooms are nicely separated from each other, with comfortable beds and both with full private bathrooms. The place is well equipped for everyday living, with comfortable furniture, a nicely stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, a bar area, and high speed internet. Especially decadent is the very private and pretty patio area, with the pool and hot tub – just for us! There were sun and shade areas on the patios practically all day, so some place for everyone. The gas BBQ is also great. We especially enjoyed all the birds that came by, especially the daily visit from the two little doves. Add a lot of sunshine, swaying palm trees and a little wine - life doesn't get much better than this! While The Oasis is on a busy road, it is set back, and you just feel tucked away in your own little paradise. The Oasis is also very centrally located, close to down town, handy to groceries, gas, etc. as well as a couple of good restaurants nearby. It was also easy to get to the many attractions from here. You do however need a car - we walked to Albertson’s a couple of times for some exercise, but it was an hour’s journey, and heavy to carry back much wine! Last but certainly not least, the owner was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had, and went out of his way to ensure that everything was in order, and that our arrival in the dark went smoothly. Thank you Rick for everything, and for sharing your special place with us! We can definitely recommend this little gem, and hope to be back again one day soon.
