Great Apartment in Perfect Location

5 of 5
This was my 2nd time staying in the apartment and both times it has been the perfect spot. Julie and Ken are GREAT! Very responsive and helpful in all communications and super flexible in helping us get checked in when we got held up in traffic coming down from Los Angeles which was a huge help after a long flight from England. Checkout instructions were really clear, and very simple compared to other rentals I've used in the past. The apartment is as described, clean and spacious and has a great homely feel as well as all the amenities you need to make it a home from home. The garage is a great feature with enough space for the car and to store surfboards whilst not in use. The location in Pacific Beach is ideal. Steps to the beach, for that sunrise surf session, a short beach front walk to all of the entertainment, bars and restaurants (I recommend Kono's for breakfast and coffee, and Pacific Beach Ale House for an on-site brewed craft beer) and the park at the end of the street is a great spot for one of the famous San Diego Sunsets. The beauty of this spot is that even though you are close to the action, it is really quiet and peaceful and you dont get a lot of thru traffic or noise, and the neighbors are all super friendly. Getting around San Diego is easy from the apartment as major routes and freeways are so close, and there is a major bus route right at the top of the street. Overall - a clean and comfortable apartment in a great location, and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to be so close to the beach and pay a very reasonable price. Thanks Julie and Ken for another great stay, I will definitely be back in 2015!

Great Location!

As other people have noted, the rental is scrupulously clean, quiet, and it has great access to Pacific Beach. Parking is a little tricky and I recommend renting a small car so you can fit more easily into the space in the garage. I loved the apartment; it was just perfect for us!

Beyond expectations

5 of 5
First time using VRBO, was a little skeptical not knowing what to expect. Looked through tons of listings for a place close to the ocean at a reasonable price. This place was perfect for us, has ocean views from most windows and is a half block away from a little park and the beach. Being able to leave the second floor bedroom window open all night and hear the waves was a huge plus, although you will hear some street noise early in the morning. The place is absolutely clean, spotless, and very well maintained and includes everything you'll need for a stay. Julie is wonderful to work with and took the time to answer all my questions before we booked. Yes, there are fancier places for a lot more money, but if you are just looking for a comfy, roomy, clean, quiet and secure place to call home for a week you can't go wrong! I can see why many of the renters are returns. The only negative I can think of is that the garage has a huge beam in the middle which makes parking a challenge, especially if you own a larger vehicle.
