Blissful Marriage

5 of 5
My wife and I envisioned our wedding weekend to be full of wonderful memories, peace, fun, beauty and laughter. Thanks to Marie and Villa Mira Mar our vision became a reality. The home was magnificent; the pictures do not fully capture its beauty and intricate details of this amazing beach front property! The master suite was exquisite with huge floor to ceiling windows that show off the ocean. Our favorite detail of the master bedroom was the mural on the ceiling which we didn't see until we went to bed the first night. We were still noticing amazing details inside the home almost until the last day of our trip. Each level of the home had its own personality but they all somehow flowed together. Our favorite time of day was watching the sun rise and set on the beautiful balconies (take your pick of which level). The home is kept impeccably and everything is in wonderful condition. This was a perfect location for a small wedding on the beach. We really enjoyed the Thursday night Farmers/Street Fair in downtown Oceanside, as well as its convenient location to stores. Marie was awesome. She attended to every detail during the contract period and during our stay. Marie was also very helpful in connecting us with other renters who had weddings there at the property. Thank You Marie - We plan to come back every year and celebrate our anniversary!

"I can't stop thinking about the beach house."

5 of 5
I've been through 5 construction projects so have a deep appreciation for this house. High end materials (tile, cabinets) and laid out really well. We spent our entire vacation on the porch and their private beach patio over looking the beach. It's mesmerizing. Each day my husband and nephews took runs down Pacific. Perfectly flat and with an ocean view. My sister in law and I went to Yoga Oceanside and at the end of the week had an instructor come to the house and lead a class for all of us - kids and adults alike - on the beach. A calming giggle-fest. I have a market research background and teach in a business school back East, so, let's just say I did extensive research on oceanfront houses before we selected this one. There were a lot of "Ocean View" and "near the ocean" or a cramped condo on the ocean with questionable interiors. Oceanside grew on us and we are officially fans. It's about 40-45 minutes from San Diego. Surfers like Oceanside and were in our yoga class. There is a military influence because it's near Camp Pendelton where some of Top Gun was filmed. 333, Zig Zag, Hello Betty, Thursday Farmer's Market and Food Truck at the Harbor and Red Top yogurt were our outings in addition to a field trip to HoDads in Ocean Beach. We'd already been through San Diego but folks recommended the Safari and a Padres game. Ralphs = Grocery shopping and Fraziers = all natural grocery shopping. There is a drive thru Starbucks we frequented daily. Some additional information you may find helpful: A) The rental is the bottom two floors which worked great for us - primo beach access. Clearly commercial grade construction because we heard literally nothing upstairs where Bob and Linda were (there part time). B) The fourth bedroom is on the main floor and is really more of a studio/ loft style area where the kids can pile in with tons of beds and their own TV. There is a room divider. All the adults slept downstairs, along with "difficult sleeper" kids in the three bedrooms (Master has extra twin). C) It's hard to tell if Bob and Linda are in their unit unless you get an email. If you ask them something, they reply! It's almost like having a concierge. I felt bad at a certain point and tried to curb requests. D) The posted pics do not do the unit justice. There is an entire wall of windows: Main level, bedroom level. Stunning views. The bedrooms are better looking.
