Pictures don't do it justice

Our stay in this cottage was amazing! Waking up everyday and opening the windows to the sight and sounds of the ocean was the highlight. Just a few steps out of the door and you could sit there as long as your heart desired watching the waves crash against the rocks. It was also walking distance to the pier and downtown Oceanside which was a plus. The owner and keepers of the cottage were very kind and accommodating. Everything we needed was there, set up, and ready to go. There wasn't a need to go out to get anything except for food. It was perfect for mine and my husband's honeymoon. Thank you!

Wonderful vacation!

I just returned from two weeks at June's cottage by the sea. I travelled with my three children, and we chose to stay in a condo so that we would have room to just chill out. This cottage was perfect for us. There is an awesome private patio overlooking the harbor where we ate breakfast and dinner most days. Wonderful ceiling fans in both rooms to bring in the cool ocean air. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to make full dinners, and there were all the supplies needed for a day at the beach as well. The resort is gated, private and beautiful, with blooming magnolias and birds of paradise. Sitting at the main pool or spa, I felt like I was in Hawaii. A previous poster mentioned that the king bed was quite hard, but when we arrived, I found the bed covered with a thick memory foam pad, and I slept like a baby every night. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that the sofa in the living room was not the most comfortable, but we spent very little time sitting around indoors, so this didn't matter to us at all. Oceanside itself was a perfect location to explore the area as well. We spent most days nearby, but were able to make an easy commute, not only to San Diego, but to , LA and the old gold mining town of Julian as well. We would love to return to the "cottage by the sea" in the near future.
