Comfort and views

4 of 5
Although we weren't on the ocean - this place had beautiful views and is tucked in a court which made it quiet and secluded. We found it quite comfortable and updated nicely. The price was great. We lucked out with the weather and enjoyed trying to play golf at Harbor Links - amazing views!

Peaceful, serene, romantic get-away

5 of 5
The ride from Petaluma to Casa Cielo is a beautiful mix of countryside and lovely ocean vistas. We entered the house and were stunned. The furnishings, the gourmet kitchen and the views were breath taking. There is absolutely nothing missing in this kitchen including all high end appliances. The high end television and the Sonos Music System were an added bonus that turned the house into a concert hall. Given the remoteness of the property, we were delighted to find that the house is equipped with Verizon cell phone service, as well as wi-fi internet service. The large deck with comfortable chaise lounges were ideal for star gazing. We also enjoyed dining outdoors, having made daily use of the gas grill. The master suite on the second floor has a lovely deck with a table and two chairs. We enjoyed our morning lattes overlooking the valley and the ocean in the distance. The memory foam mattress guaranteed a delightful uninterrupted sleep. There is a separate building that houses a shower and a sauna. Outside of the building, there is a hot tub that sits on a flagstone patio. We enjoyed sipping champagne in the hot tub while looking up at the star laden sky. We went to the Osmosis Day Spa in nearby Freestone. We thoroughly enjoyed the couples massage that my darling had booked for us, unbeknownst to me. We also enjoyed wonderfully prepared meals at nearby Cape Fear Restaurant, as well as the Blue Heron in Duncan Mills. We took a tour of the Korbel Winery, which was very interesting. The tour guide provided a local history lesson vs a typical winery tour. We took a drive to Goat Rock Beach. While walking on the beach admiring the surf, we came upon a small peninsula only to find a large number of barking seals. We were mesmerized as we watched them frolic in the water and bask in the sun. This is the estuary where the Russian River enters the Pacific Ocan. The area has scenic hiking trails for those so inclined. Fort Ross, which is approximately ten miles up the coast is the fort in the United States that once housed Russian soldiers. It is also open for tours. It is mandatory to food shop prior to your arrival, as the closest grocery store is approximately thirty minutes away in Guernville. Casa Cielo is a wonderful romantic getaway. It is peaceful, beautiful and serene. It is truly a couple's paradise where reconnecting with your partner and nature is inevitable. We have made it our number one destination when we need a break fr

Terrific location. Very private & peaceful.

4 of 5
We had a lovely week, including Labor Day weekend and would love to come back. Great location on the lower boundary of Sea Ranch offered amazing views and complete privacy and peace. Not that any part of Sea Ranch gets hectic, but when walking along the beautiful bluff trails through the more populated neighborhoods we really came to appreciate the quiet and privacy this house offers. Owner was really friendly and helpful. Plenty of privacy within the house too. Surf Market in Gualala (10 miles north) is hands down the best grocery in the region – everything you’d need included a really good butcher, great selection of produce and wines and nice BBQ in the parking lot.
