Wow, what a great house, we loved it!

5 of 5
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Haven on the Lake! It was just the 2 of us so we had more room than we needed but we still are so glad we choose this place. Everything was perfect from the minute we walked in the door. The home is warm and inviting and decorated so cute. There are so many little touches that really make this pace feel special. It is certainly not small yet feels so cozy! And the bed, oh my it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept it...it was hard to leave. Steve, the property manager, was wonderful as well, he was friendly, gave us a few suggestion of places to eat and things to do and made himself available to us anytime yet in no way was he intrusive or pushy. We will definitely be coming back to Haven on the Lake. Thank you Michael and Pam for allowing us into your beautiful home we absolutely loved it!!

What an AMAZING place!

4 of 5
My wife and I drove up from San Francisco this past summer. The scenic drive took approximately 3 hours which included pit stops for fresh oysters and pictures along the most scenic coast we have ever seen. We checked in at the Serenisea rental agency, Cassandra was very hospitable when we picked up our keys, and she took the time to give us some very useful information about the area. The drive was five minutes away. Once we walked in, the view of the ocean along with the decorations, we knew we have found tranquility. The place is neatly decorated with all the amenities. Only thing is there is no cell phone coverage all along the Mendocino coast (which was fine with us) but they do have free wi-fi. The amenities were plentiful the flat screen tv, microwave, free NETFLIX along with a small, but very well equipped kitchen area, ie: coffee maker, utensils, pots/pans, refrigerator etc. Plenty of restaurants close by, but the main attraction was the hot tub which has a 180 degree view over looking the ocean. I highly recommend this location. We tried to book the house next door but it was sold out, but we were actually thankful for having the opportunity to stay in this charming cottage. We will be coming back next year to spend our anniversary together. Thank you Moonstar Cottage for making our stay an unforgettable memory. See you soon, Logan Warren

Delightful weekend getaway

4 of 5
We just had a relaxing weekend getaway to Clear Lake at the Mallard Cottage #1. The unit was clean and well appointed, and the grounds of the resort were inviting for our early fall stay, with secure parking. We would have liked to go kayaking but the lower water level due to the drought made it impractical. Under other conditions, the location and the private dock make activities on the water convenient and ideal. Sizewise, for two adults the cottage is fine; for four it would be doable but tight. There was a problem with the fill valve of the toilet not working properly after each flush, but we were able to get it to work by turning the water on and off from the stop valve. Still, we were told by the caretakers at the end of our stay that this has been a problem for several weeks, but hasn't yet been fixed. This is an easy fix and should be taken care of immediately. The listing says that linens are included but we were told they would be an extra fee, so we brought our own. The listing should be updated to reflect this reality.
