Incredible Views

5 of 5
My husband and I spent the first four days of our California vacation at this Ocean Bluff home. We had a very relaxing time just walking the bluff trails, spying on harbor seals, staring at the views from the many perfectly-placed windows, and gazing at the phenomenal show of stars at night from the master deck. Our dinners consisted of whatever we bought at Surf Market in Gualala to grill, along with our favorite local wines and cheeses. It was an immensely restful vacation, and we slept like babies on the very comfortable king bed each night. We look forward to a return visit!

Best view on the West coast.

5 of 5
Barbara and I stayed over a week in this rental and it is one of our top 5 vacation rentals ever. We spent a quiet week enjoying the incredible ocean views, the sound of the surf crashing below and the colorful flowers. The small village of Gualala is nearby and we sampled the local restaurants, some shopping and even a classic car show one weekend. I took lots of photos of the wildlife, the surrounding land and seascapes and the flowers blooming. The rooms were very comfortable--especially the master bedroom bed. The owner has thoughtfully provided everything you can think of from umbrellas to charcoal for the grill. Firewood is stacked right outside. I can't believe we were cool enough to wear sweaters in July! Not like that back home in Texas. Just the two of us, so we spread out and enjoyed the whole house. The owner was very attentive to our every need and checked on us by phone a couple of times to make sure we were comfortable. We were. We highly recommend this property.

Paradise Found is paradise in every way

5 of 5
At first we were skeptical. We are pretty jaded when it comes to travel, but we knew something was different when we first went out on the deck, and a faun was taking a nap in the corner of the garden. It may sound exaggerated, but this truly is “Paradise Found.” You do not have to go anywhere to soak in the serenity. Just staying in the house is justification for the trip, and Irish Beach is really a wonderful location. Everything feels comfortable and we appreciated all the special touches throughout the house. It is like being in your own home, perfect for the two of us and our dog. We went to the beach and walked forever, had dinner at the pier in Point Arena–be sure to try the clam chowder. And, hanging around for a few hours in Mendocino was like visiting the set of “Murder She Wrote.” Yes, the drive in is sometimes slow, but there is beauty everywhere you look—from the redwoods to the miles of unspoiled beaches. I am glad the climate is cool it gives you the feeling that the Pacific Ocean is all yours. We came in July to escape the 105-degree heat in Tucson, but we cannot wait to go back sometime in the winter to enjoy the storms. Michaela and Tom Whittingslow, Tucson
