FAMILY FUN & Fishing was great

5 of 5
Everything was a smooth process from the time we booked to checking out (wifey did all the prepping stages) Me and my wife went with our 2 kids which are 2&7yr olds. This place is nice and off the water and has a dock which I appreciate as avid fisherman. The bonus is it has a couple of kayaks, 4 seater paddle boat which we used on the water everyday for our stay. We brought food to BBQ and utilized the kitchen for our meals. It was calm and relaxing plus if we didn't have something -there's a mini mart across the street which has plenty. My eldest loved the fooseball table and if they needed to calm down there was wifi and cable. The bedrooms were awesome and clean. Fishing tips: Take the kayak out and go to areas by the bushes. I caught a Bass (4 lbs)with a worm and a Catfish (10 lbs)with a rubber chicken liver. (hopefully Pam will post my wonderful catches)hehe Steve is you point man during your stay if you choose to book here which everyone should. He checks you in and gives you a run down on what you need to know. If you need help- just txt him or call. He responds right away. In a nutshell: Good for families with kids, BBQ grill, Water toys, Great view, Affordable, Clean, and GOOD FISHING...(theres fishing guides if you get frustrated) but talk to the locals and explore yourself is how to do it. Thanks for sharing your house Mike & Pam- and yes WE WILL BE BACK . Keep up the good work Steve.

We loved the Mallard Cottage 2

5 of 5
My husband and I visited Mallard Cottage in January. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The scenery was beautiful. Right away the care takers greeted us and they were even so thoughtful as to have our cottage nice and warm for us, also I loved the modest décor. I found them to be very charming. The living room couch was very comfortable but even more so was the bed! My husband and I both slept good, and woke up refreshed. Also, the bathroom has it's own heater! I don't know about you but I hate stepping out of the shower into a cold bathroom but not at the Mallard Cottage 2. It was nice and toasty. Not to mention the shower water pressure was awesome. There's nothing worse than having a poor water pressure but not at the Mallard Cottage 2. If you're ever looking for a nice getaway with paying an arm and leg the Mallard Cottage is the place to go. They have a full kitchen with a microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and dish sets. It was truly a wonderful home away from home.
