Very cozy

4 of 5
This is a beautiful cottage. It was such an inviting feeling walking into the home. They had even put up a Christmas tree in the living room, it was a huge hit with all of us!!!! We had a group of ten stay here. The rooms are so cozy and the beds r very comfortable. I would have given this cottage a 5, but somethings bothered us. For 1 we thought it was very odd they did not have any soap for showers. Even the hand soaps by the sinks were empty. After traveling to get to the cottage, we all wanted to shower, but had to run to the store, which is not close. And we couldn't find a stopper for the tub. So the little kids had to take showers(kind of a pain). 2nd the couches needed to be cleaned or replaced. They had horrible stains on them. Even on the pillows. We let the management know and they said they would have them replaced. The management was very accommodating. The first night we got there, it was horrible weather. As we were getting the kids ready for bed and putting out the cots, we realized we didn't have enough blankets. We called the management and they immediately ran blankets over. We had even told them to not worry about it until morning.

Simply Awesome!!

5 of 5
The location puts you in walking distance of so much of the best Newport Beach has to offer, and if you love to walk you can get to 2 piers, the beach, restaurants, the Fun Zone, Balbo, Balboa Island (with shopping) and so much more. The apartment is clean, well-furnished and the owners were very friendly and responsive to all our needs. I have already recommended this locations to family and friends.

Comfortable Vacation Home

4 of 5
This Balboa Island home provided a comfortable and convenient vacation experience. There were 2 adults and 3 teenagers in our group. We all had an excellent time! The owners were easy to communicate with and arrival through check-out was smooth. One of the very best features of this home is the location. It is located steps from the harbor and a couple of short blocks from the Newport Peninsula ferry. Our family rented bikes for the week at a nearby shop. We rode to the quaint main street for ice cream and shopping, took our bikes on the ferry to the beach and to several nearby restaurants. We also spent a day in Disneyland and found the drive from the house to the park to be easy and stress-free. Although there was construction on a nearby home, it did not hinder our trip. This home was plenty spacious, and we made good use of the large dining table and outside front patio. The kitchen was well stocked and all the basic conviences were supplied. The upstairs did get stuffy each day and one back bedroom did not cool off easily even with all of the windows open. Some of the furnishings are somewhat dated but the bathrooms upstairs are beatifully remodeled and again, there is plenty of space. There is a basketball hoop out back but no basketball. We purchased a ball and played almost daily. If you plan to prepare meals at the house, we recommend purchasing your groceries on the way into town as there is no large grocery store on the island. We absolutely recommend this property and hope to stay there again!
