What a great memorable stay in Napa!!

5 of 5
My wife and I planned this trip (ourselves and 4 adult family members to experience Napa) for at least 6 months and so much hinged on how well we would like this house and location. After a week stay we highly recommend this property. Location was excellent! House was even better than the pictures. We had planned a full week of sightseeing, tastings and immersion in the Napa experience we have come to love. Even included a day trip into SF for a baseball game and sightseeing. The house and hospitality of everyone involved with the house was phenomenal. First night in the house we experienced a 6.1 earthquake at 3:20am. There was much damage to contents but the house and the 6 of us were quite shaken but unharmed. Having never experienced anything like that we called to see if there was anything we should do (where to turn off gas, etc). Mike came out within 20-30 minutes to check on us, even though he had experienced significant damage at his home as well. He helped get us settled down and was back at 9am with a crew to start the full clean-up. We went off to enjoy our Napa plans and that is how the rest of the week went as well. Mike (manager) and Thom (owner) took such good care of us (replaced furniture as needed, lots of dishes and glassware, etc, cleaned carpets and rugs, etc). And virtually all of that was done while we were out enjoying Napa and Sonoma. The house was great and accommodated three couples very nicely. So fun to come back at the end of each day and prepare and enjoy evening meals, great wine and gorgeous sunsets from the deck. Mornings brought the hot air balloons across the sky which was so fun to see. All in all the trip my wife and I had so much hope for being a truly memorable experience turned out to be exactly that! And the earthquake became just an added historic experience that was completely unexpected by us. Clearly building codes have been designed well for newer construction in the area as, structurally, the house was seemingly unscathed. Much praise to Thom and Mike and all who helped them throughout the week. We could not recommend this property more highly. We will clearly return to Napa and will look forward to staying at this property as often as we can.

Amazing spaces, indoors and out!

5 of 5
Our party of 4 couples had a wonderful stay at this home! We have rented many large houses around the country, and the indoor and outdoor spaces of this home gave us the best array of accommodations we've had anywhere. The large and comfortable great room with wine bar and adjacent dining area opens onto a lovely patio overlooking the golf course and mountains beyond. It is perfect for lingering over morning coffee and watching evening sunsets through the mature trees surrounding the property. On the opposite side of the great room a wall of sliders open onto the courtyard swimming pool and patio which lies in full sun throughout the entire afternoon. A perfect place to lounge peacefully or play with the grandkids. Either way, there is room for a group to spread out without being isolated from one another. The bedrooms are equally well-spaced with each of the three suites offering privacy and luxury. The fourth bedroom shares a wing of the house with the third bedroom and bathroom. It is enough smaller than the other three bedrooms to be not well-suited for four couples who are traveling together, but it's perfectly suited for a family with children. This house was also the best stocked house we've encountered. There was EVERYTHING you might need when flying in from someplace else. Just buy your own food (and wine) and everything else you need is provided. Very, very considerate of the owner to be so thoughtful. Speaking of the owner, Jack met us at the house and made sure we understood that we could call him for anything we might need during our stay. He has a lovely home and a gracious nature when sharing it with others. We will definitely stay here again the next time we travel with a large group to Napa!

Awesome Napa Retreat

5 of 5
Our stay here was absolutely amazing,we arrived and this property was exactly as advertised. The home is warm and inviting ,we felt like we had walked into our home away from home.We had planned on visiting several restaurants in the area however upon returning from our daily events we find it hard to leave this glorious backyard retreat!!! Location was very peaceful and close to all amenities, restaurants as well as whole foods,Trader Joes, which was great for the awesome back yard grill.During our visit we did wine tours, visited Muir woods ,day trip to San Fran and visited a winery within walkable distance as well as some hiking.Only thing missing is our return date for next year !!!!
