DEFINITELY WILL BE COMING BACK!

5 of 5
My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a place to stay. I'm glad we found this property! It's exactly what we were looking for and MORE! Nice clean welcoming driveway that's tastefully landscaped, the hosts came out to greet us and show us to our cottage. The cottage itself is cute and super cozy, but large enough so you don't feel cramped. Open up the french doors and you have a view of the garden, go out the other door and you have a view of the fire pit and pool. It was perfect to just sit on our porch, have a snack, a bottle of wine and a cigar. We brought stuff to make s'mores, but after coming back to the cottage after a big dinner both nights, we were too full and tired to take advantage of this feature. Fire starter, lighter, fire wood, and sticks to roast marshmallows were readily available. The pool was clean, warm, and perfect to cool off and relax in. The gardens and the whole property was well maintained, beautiful and picture perfect. I would consider doing family or couple portraits here. The hosts were awesome! Continued to let us know if we had any questions or issues, just let them know. They gave us figs from their garden, put fresh cut roses in our room, offered us a taste of their very first pinot noir that they've produced, and even invited us to a screening with some of their friends. When we were outside, either by the pool or just sitting on the porch, we really felt like we had the place to ourselves. Lots of privacy, really quiet with the occasional car passing by, and felt like we were in the middle of the woods, vineyards, garden with so many plants around. My wife said "this is my kind of camping"...obviously, not even close hahaha All in all, we had an amazing time in Napa and at this property, didn't have any issues, and we loved how cozy and romantic this property was. Thank you to the hosts for making this available to us. We hope we'll be back again really soon!

'WITHDRAWALS"

5 of 5
Yes, the "withdrawals" from having to leave this serene, beautiful, magical cottage are huge. The owners, Spiro and Marie, are gracious hosts who see to your every need. And Spiro produces an incredible cabernet - OMG! And you can touch the grape vines while sitting on the deck watching the hot air balloons cover the sky early in the morning, or in the evening while sipping a glass of Spiro's wine (if you're lucky enough to get a bottle!) enjoying a sunset that I cannot begin to describe. The cottage has every amenity we wanted; it was obvious and appreciated how much thought and care the owners put into every detail…it was spotless, beautifully decorated, has a washer/dryer, well-equipped kitchen, gas grill on the deck, gas fireplace in the living room, and well appointed bathrooms. Favorite restaurants? All of them - Yountville is a mecca for the best. We spent the month of June at Bella Vista and have already rebooked for next fall - cannot wait to return and are counting the days. We will gladly recommend Bella Vista to anyone who is looking for the perfect spot in Napa Valley to be their "home away from home." Thank you so much, Marie and Spiro…you are an amazing couple, and we feel so lucky to have met you. Our thanks, Joe and J'Lene Gennaro

Nice for two couples or small family

5 of 5
This is a newly redone historic-age house (130 years old) in downtown Napa. A couple of things to highlight: Easily walkable to the downtown Napa: * 2 blocks to the nearest Starbucks * Maybe 4 blocks to "BIscuits" -- a nice (albeit slow) breakfast & lunch joint * About 8 blocks to the center of downtown, with a plethora of restaurants, cafes, wine tasting rooms, and boutique stores By car: * Being toward the south end of Napa valley, this is relatively quick to get to from SF * Quick access from the home onto the Silverado Trail (which is the most convenient way to get to wineries, since 29 is a parking lot on weekends) * Centrally located in Napa for groceries, general stores, etc. The unit: * Recently redone, old house. Tastefully finished. Wood and tile floors throughout. * Nice open living area (kitchen, living room) with lots of counter space including a breakfast bar area. * Only one bathroom. * Washer and dryer off the kitchen. * Handy blow-up extra mattress. * Wonderful porch. Enjoyed many an hour sitting out enjoying the July 4 fireworks, a glass or two of wine, guitar, etc. Owners: * We met the owners on the first day. They own a number of properties in the area that they are personally involved with (e.g. rebuilding older houses). * Very helpful with tips on the area, activities for kids, etc. * Their hospitality really made the stay more enjoyable. Local tips: * Strawberry farm stand a mile or two up Silverado trail on the left. I've seen this place 25 times but never stopped until this visit. Holy cow! Best strawberries I've had since I was a kid and my neighbor grew them and we'd pick them fresh! * Oxbow Public Market - walkable or 3 minute car ride. Not really a market as much as a bunch of high end little shops stuffed into a building. But the fruit and fresh veggies were very good (and very pricey), the cheese was amazing, the pizza was great, etc. * Biscuits. Restaurant. Just google for Napa Biscuits. 30 minute wait for simple breakfast items, but they're good. Not cheap, but good. Overall, a nice few days in Napa with the family. Pleasant and helpful owners. Cute house -- cute in a way only an older house can be. Nicely equipped.
