Thoughtful and peaceful

5 of 5
Our family of five, 3 boys 16, 10, 7 had a fantastic time at the cottage. It was so nice to come back "home" every evening. The cottage is spacious, thoughtfully planned and extremely clean. Charles is very friendly and kind. The drive to the canyon is beautiful and in early December totally free. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were blessed with a clear full moon night at the valley and it was stunning. The lower falls were charged due to rain the night before and it was magical under the moonlight. We also loved breakfast at the Sugar Pine cafe. Yummy. We would return to the cottage in a flash. Thanks for the hospitality Charles.

Truly an away from it all experience

5 of 5
We visited this place end of July and was our first away from it all kind of experience. It is a beautiful and spacious house. The place was clean and we had champagne and pop corn ready to welcome us. Ms Parker was always ready to answer our concerns. Our toddlers loved running around. We loved watching the night sky in the wilderness with enormous number of stars, something we don't get to do in the city. We stayed only for two nights, but wished had longer time to spend at the ranch itself. We even sighted a deer prancing by. We didn't get an opportunity to use the hot tub and dropped the idea of visiting the pond as we were told it was kind of dry around the time of our visit. It is a pretty uphill hike for people who aren't used to it I guess. There is a burger joint about a mile away but did our groceries at Mariposa around the junction of 140 and 49. ( if I remember it right that is). Thank you for the wonderful experience ( even the one of woodpeckers waking us up :)), loved it.
