Excellent Location

4 of 5
We just enjoyed 10 days in the 2 BR Beachfront Condo, while dropping our son off at UCLA. There were 3 of us..my wife, myself, and our teenage son. We decided to try a beach rental instead of a comparably priced hotel. We would definitely do this again. Pros: * Excellent location. Oceanfront. The beach is right outside. Free parking. This may not sound like much, but definitely a benefit (Note: the condo parking is very tight, especially if you have a large vehicle). Easy access. Minutes from LAX. Walk to shopping/dining, Venice Boardwalk, Abbott Kinney, Santa Monica pier, etc. * The property manager, Patti, always just a text away, to help and answer any questions/issues that arose. She was also helpful in local recommendations, including the bike rentals that we definitely too advantage of. * The condo was extremely comfortable. Great size. More than enough room for us. All of the conveniences of home. Fully furnished, came with everything that we needed. Beds were great. Came with wi-fi, cable in all rooms, etc. CONS: * Noise from upstairs unit can be annoying. You can definitely hear walking around the entire unit. This was the only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5. OVERALL: We would definitely recommend this listing. It absolutely met expectations for a beach rental. A good value overall, and great alternative to staying in a hotel.

It doesn't get better than this!

5 of 5
We have traveled a lot out of the country for various beach vacations and one thing we kept asking ourselves after staying a week at this property in both units was, why? This place has it all, and we mean ALL! I'm just going to start a list, but this in no way is complete: waking up to the ocean view from the beach house, the gorgeous sunsets, the surf perfect for boogie boarding and surfing, the velvety sand, the beach volleyball, the bike path, the dolphins, the sea lions, the heat lamp next to the cozy outdoor furniture, the immaculately clean and beautifully decorated beach house that has you wanting for nothing because everything from a blender to a crock pot to a skim board are among what you'd have at home and more. The town of Playa del Rey is absolutely charming and we spent as much time on the bikes cruising the shoreline or the marina, going to Senor G's for deliciously freshly made juices or Tanner's coffee where we drank Snow Monkey Plum tea...such unique drinks. And we loved the authentic Italian food at Cantalini's. Of course, a review wouldn't be complete without mention of the beds, which were so very comfortable! We stayed at the beach house for a family reunion as well as a retirement celebration for grandpa and it is unanimous by all from the littlest guy to grandpa that this will be one of our fondest memories. This is a fabulous property and Sherry and Stephen take pride in every detail, plus they are wonderful to know. It was so hard to leave, but we'll absolutely be back!!

Great stay in Marina del Rey Condo

5 of 5
The place was perfect for our 5 adults and one child. 2 more guests could've been accomodated without a problem. The furnishings are first class and the location was within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and Venice. The landlords were very helpful accomodating our dates and getting us acquainted with the area. We would definitely stay there again..
