Clean and Superb Location

5 of 5
This was our first time to stay in this property, although we have stayed in Manhattan Beach at least twice a year over the past 10 years. The Home Away listing and description is accurate. The master bed is comfy and our daughter reported the trundle bed in the bedroom downstairs to be comfy also. There is also a futon bed in the lower bedroom. Downstairs sleeping is child oriented. There are plenty of towels and bed linens. A washer and dryer is located just outside the lower bedroom in a separate room off the patio. There is an adequate supply of kitchen utensils, appliances and cookware. And the Weber grill works great, one of our requirements for a rental. The Fios TV and internet works great with a Fios HiDef receiver in the living area, and a standard Fios receiver in each bedroom. There were DVD receivers in the living area and maybe in the other two bedrooms, although we didn’t use them. The property is clean and well maintained. The property manager, Chris, is responsive to any inquiries, although we only had a few minor issues. They were quickly resolved. One of the things we liked best about this property was that the storage areas were not filled up with the owners items, giving us plenty of room to hang clothes in the closets, stash our other vacation items and place our groceries in the pantry. In the garage, our Toyota Sienna van and a Nissan Altima fit fine. There are garage openers and a keypad for entry. There are also some beach items, including surf boards for use. We would recommend this property to friends or relatives and we have already booked our next stay. The walk to the beach in 3 short blocks down hill. Walking into town is about :05 with access to shopping and our many favorite restaurants. The Strand fronting the ocean along Manhattan Beach is great walking, bike riding or roller blading. Those activities extend beyond Manhattan beach either way. For golf, there is a nice par 3 course in El Segundo and another real nice par 3 in Palos Verdes (recommended by property manager Chris). We’d recommend this property for families and retirees. If you did not have a vehicle, it is a short cab ride from LAX. Once at the house, you can easily get around without an automobile.

Perfect Southern California Living

5 of 5
Brought the family here for the month of August to experience all that beach living in Southern California has to offer. Karin, the owner, is one of the coolest and most interesting people you will ever meet and her home is so nice. Perfectly situated just a few blocks from the beach and just one block from the main drag we could walk everywhere. The property was clean and even nicer than the pictures we saw before we got there. Weekly maid service made sure the house was kept up even with our two younger children running around. Karin's place has beach cruisers, surfboards, skateboards and boogie boards, my kids were in heaven. We would go down to the beach everyday to watch the sunsets which were beautiful. Being around all of the healthy SoCal residents running, walking, surfing, swimming, etc. was very energizing. We could not recommend this place more. If you are lucky enough to find a date that this wonderful home is available snatch it up, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Unbeatable location, great setup

4 of 5
Some friends and I had a great time here last week. The beds were big and comfortable, and towels provided were clean, and the beach view from the deck was simply unbelievable. Wine in the hot tub, watching the sun set over the water ... it was fantastic. The beach with open volleyball courts was 2 minutes from door, and good food and drinks were a 10 minute's walk away. Only loses one star because of the parking, as it is indeed treacherous to get down there. I scraped my car fairly badly the first time before I got the hang of it. Be careful, but it's definitely worth the trip!
